Unless you didn’t realize the random human leaping at your car from the side was actually a cop. Might spook you…by accounts he drove 15-20 yards (or feet, can’t recall exactly what the reporter said) before he pulled over.Ok, I will do the “yeah, but….” portion of this commentary.
If you have someone hanging on to your car, don’t you just stop? Especially a police person?
I mean, honestly?
Vendor killed….very sad.First thought was death was involved.
Because cops have never overreacted right?
Let’s hear the details before convicting…
“According to ESPN reporter Jeff Darlington, who witnessed the incident, Scheffler was trying to drive around the crash scene on a median. A police officer instructed Scheffler to stop, but Scheffler continued to drive about 10 to 20 yards toward the entrance.”
When a LEO tells you to do something, you do it, bad things tend to happen when you don’t.
Also hopefully not the first NY team to go home in the playoffs.Nuggets going home….
Jokic looked completely gassed in the 2nd half, but all his mates just stood around and watched him play tired. It was weirdNuggets going home….
I mean, in an ideal world they would have extracted some value at the deadline, but next season was never about being competitive. The last thing the Wizards need to do is to try to be more competitive with modestly good vets like Jones. Stick with the deliberate rebuild. The Wizards have a Tyus Jones problem, and it may get significantly worse — Wiz of Awes
There is no sugarcoating it: the Washington Wizards are not exactly primed to return to contention in the Eastern Conference next season. They were at or close to the bottom of the standings for most of this past year, and the building blocks they have in place are not the most ideal.apple.news
Yes, this. I suppose they could have maybe gotten a pair of 2nds or a swap for Jones. But they didn’t. I’m sure they had their reasons.I mean, in an ideal world they would have extracted some value at the deadline, but next season was never about being competitive. Besides, I highly suspect one of their draft picks will be a PG.
Inside the NBA is the gold standard for studio shows and it stinks that it won't be around after next year!
Instead we get to listen to Michael Wilbon talk basketball on the ESPN broadcast? No thanks!
Maybe I'm overly cautious but I would have taken myself to the hospital if my head swelled up like that. Especially in Canada, where I would not have to fear a $150,000 hospital bill showing up in the mail a week later.
A Blue Jays fan was hit in the head with a foul ball. She didn't leave the game. That's quite a bump. Tough girl!
