That's weird, last season I was told EN goals/points were actually really impressive. Guess it was only OK when Kuch did it.
Last year according to avs fans and avs forum it was very much not okay, and was used in an argument why MacK had the best season. Now that MacK is pacing for 21 ENP it’s all crickets… we just want consistency from avs fans.

Watching both Oilers game and Avs game tonight - man Ottawa looks bad but also Mack clearly outplaying mcdust. Mcdust with 1 greasy assist and McKinnon driving the play with 2 assists. I think the 9th / 10th time Mack has out scored mcdust this season

Mcdavids been the best player since the first week of November, it's not much of a debate. OP is just a hater.
You been watching past 5 games? Mack dominating Mcdust

Yeah McDavid has been making that scrub Drai look good.
MacKinnon vs Drai is a more apt comparison than McDavid vs MacKinnon.

Especially when you consider the bump in stats MacKinnon had once he got Makar playing behind him. Or let me guess, Drai is the only one who benefits from having 4 other players on the ice?

Not at all. Just a lot of dumb commentary in every one of these threads discounting players, all players, for having good players around them. It's all meant to disparage these players and say they aren't shit without someone propping their numbers up. Put any of these guys in the others situation and they'd perform well. My comment was tongue-in-cheek because the semantic bullshit HFBoards uses to drag each of these players is comical.

His rise in stats since Makars emergence is just a coincidence MacKinnons always been the best player in the league 🙃

MacKinnon was better than Kucherov last year and deserving of the hart. This year MacKinnon is closer to the 5th best player thus far and Makar is the teams MVP to this point.

He actually broke out at age 22 the year before makar got to the nhl and was 2nd in hart and also 2nd in ppg behind mcdavid by 0.1.

Obviously Makar will help anyone but Mackinnon was a superstar before Makar ever played 1 nhl game.

McDavid is clearly #1 and the best player in the world. OP is well known as a McDavid hater and I think he even made some pretty ridiculous claims 2 years ago about how McDavid would never sniff 150. Then he did it and he went into hiding for a bit only to re emerge recently for some reason.

I’m not going to diminish MacK as a player because the OP has an agenda. Mack is one hell of a player.

I would say he is debatably the 2nd best forward in the world… in the tier with Draisaitl, Kucherov, Barkov and maybe even include Matthews. Kaprizov is making a case for himself to be included in that tier as well, this year… although, personally, I would need to see more longevity at his current level for me to consider him in that tier.

Mackinnon and Kucherov are tier 2 after Mcdavid

Tier 1
1. Mcdavid

Tier 2
2. Mack/Kuch
3. Kuch/Mack

Tier 3
4. Draisaitl
5. Kaprizov
6. Makar
7. Matthews
8. Barkov
9. Q Hughes
10. Rantanen

And a bunch of Honorable mentions who can be argued to be top 10ish players (Jack Hughes, Eichel, Marner, Aho, Tkachuk, Fox, Josi, Pastranak, etc etc etc))

I don't under stand how you don't think drai competes with the other 2 in tier 2 at a minimum
