Yep, after all their outrage last year, Colorado fans have strangely gone silent about empty net points now.
That had more to do about who should win the MVP which imo is a pretty valid argument.
I don’t think a lot of avs fans would argue Mack is the frontrunner for the MVP this year. He’s been pretty good, but definitely not at last years level. Would probably give it to Kuch/Krill so far.

MacKinnon putting up points continues to make Oilers and Lightning fans so mad, I love it. Maybe enjoy how your current superstar players are doing this season instead of letting one guy who for plays for Colorado live rent free in your heads daily.
Nah, it's the thread starter.
Dude just antagonizes the Oilers with every post and thread he makes.
No Oiler fan is mad at Mack, at least I'm not.

He "disappeared" for a whole year and just went back to obsessing about McDavid.

Pretty weird dude.

At some point some Leafs fans (not all obviously) thought Matthews was better than Macdavid. It started there. The Oilers have 2 centers better than Matthews. It's a hard pill to swallow

So far its been kinda clear that McDavid has shown a higher peak, but for the past 2 seasons Mackinnon has been just as good a player. While both are surrounded by stars who are playing like it, from the eye test Mackinnon just does more game to game right now (admittedly subjective and I dont watch Lightning games much). Would still say McDavid is the best player in the world, but theres now 4 forwards that are in that top tier and Mackinnon is the best of them right now. Not betting against McDavid going off for another 150 point season at some point though.

Best forward in hockey right now is Mackinnon in my books (but its tight with Drai and Kucherov). Could easily change

It doesn't though? He doesn't even have an Art Ross and if he keeps scoring at the rate he's going at Kucherov will pass him once his games catch up easily and probably win it again no contest.

No he isn't...Drai and Kaprizov are having much better seasons so far.

But that takes nothing away from him.

I can guarantee no Oilers fan is looking at MacKinnon.

We are often more offended of other players which are media's darling regardless what they actually do on the ice.

The guy is absolutely on fire and is a treat to watch. Cannot see him losing the art ross this year with this current play.

Even in 3-1 games he gets 2 points at least. Definitely the best player in the league the past two seasons.
What? no.

He has by far played the most games played of all the contenders for the Art Ross...I think right now Kuch/Kap/Drai and McD has better chances or at minimum equal.

For his standards he is having not a great season, the points are there, that's right (already 9 Empty Net Points...only for reference that's more than Drai had the last 2 seasons combined).
I have learned that PP points don't count in here that means EN points should then be a "-" in here (just kidding).

Selke-winner Barkov having a shitty season.

I imagine defence has nothing to do with hockey? Just get points and thats all. Someone else does the dirty work.

Draisaitl has a much more impressive statline if we assume goals are worth more than assists, which I at least do.

MacKinnon has 19 secondary assists while Draisaitl has 12, that makes up all the difference between the two. Kaprizov only has 8 secondary assists. Rantanen 9, Kucherov 13. Even McDavid has only 9 secondary assists.

Essentially, you need to really value secondary assists to hold MacKinnon on such a pedestal, at least when it comes to production.
