I thought Schmidt was solid in his role here. But 6m is clearly to much for a third pair role. They free up space to go hard to sign Monohan I presume.
Both stinkI prefer him as a player over Pionk. Atleast the org knows and plays him like a bottom pairing d-man. With Pionk the are convinced he is a top-4 d-man much to the Jets detriment.
