People are spoiled having had Ekholm here as a #3 for so long. That guy was a #1 Dman so if that is what you are expecting to see out of a #3 or 4 you are going to be disappointed for a long time. Our Dcorp for years has essentially been Crosby+Malkin combo but just on the defensive side. It's an exception and not rule.
To be fair, before Ekholm, our #3 was Hamhuis - who also went to western Canada to become a top-pairing guy.

I mean, at one point Nashville’s defense corps had Weber, Josi, Ekholm, Jones, and Ellis. We’re pretty spoiled when it comes to defense. I’m not sure they’ve had defensive depth this weak since the turn of the millennium.

25-3-0... There's still a chance!
We actually just hit 0% chance per the Hockey Reference Monte Carlo simulator. That is, in 1000 runs of their league schedule simulator, none of the 1000 outcomes resulted in us making the playoffs.

Which is the right way to do it... 25-3-0 to hit an arbitrary points threshold helps to illustrate what's needed, but doesn't factor in the whole schedule and what all the myriad teams above us might do.

MoneyPuck does still have us at 0.3%, however. Which I guess to Trotz still means we have a "3 in 10 chance" of making it. :eyeroll:

Yesterday I got the official Season Ticket renewal email. I wanted to confirm the drop-dead date to renew or cancel, so I emailed my rep this:

"What date do the season tickets auto-renew? I’m still pondering whether or not I will renew.

Thank you."

Here's his response:

"The auto renew goes through on 3/15. So, you have up until then to opt out or a payment is run."

That was it. Not even a "why are you considering not renewing?" Seeing as that I've had these tickets over a decade you would think that they would make SOME effort in understanding why I may not renew. Seems like the entire org has gotten pathetic.

Maybe call and speak to their manager or email Sean Henry directly and tell him your experience. Between the on ice product and the rep not seeming to give a shit, maybe that will be a wakeup call.

Anyone on a quarter season? We went from a full to half for this season. Thinking of moving from half to quarter for next season. Main thing I’m curious about is if we still get a fixed seating location or not. I don’t want to move if I can avoid it.

I went from half last season to quarter this season (to cancelled for next season but that's another topic). My rep was very receptive and my seats were in the same spot for every game but two. So while I cannot guarantee you will get the same seats on the quarter plan I had good success with it this season. Also if more people end up not renewing your luck will probably improve as well.

I share tickets with a few folks, been full season for a decade+. Cancelling completely next year and will be buying 6 game packages or whatever when it sounds good to us. The pitch from the ticket rep in response was we'd lose "first access to playoff tickets."

PLAYOFFS? WE'RE TALKING ABOUT PLAYOFFS?

Reach out to Henry. That’s shitty customer service.

I had quarter seats this year. All 10 games were in the same seats, but any bonus tickets and such were different. Still in the same area though. Wife and I are still debating on whether we should renew or not.

We acquired Denisenko from Vegas for future considerations. Former Panthers 1st rounder who hasn't ever shown anything at NHL level, he has been largely AHLer for Vegas.

A few years back he was considered one of Florida's top prospects. He just haven't developed like expected. He has the tools and could be a late bloomer. It's worth a shot.

Denisenko seems to have turned out to be an NHL bust overall. I remember in his draft year being intrigued about his potential, but that was the year we didn't pick until the 4th round.

I mean, his NHL and AHL stats don't lie. He's not ever going to rise above the AHL level. But if he's a quality addition for Milwaukee and doesn't impact the Development Rule, this is great for the Ads. They are going "all in" for a championship run. Piling on guys like Bjork, De Leo, Friedman, and now Deniskeno is great, as long as it doesn't cost us anything. :thumbu:

Not to mention I'm sure the Milwaukee fans will be grateful to see a bit better product on the ice as well.

AHL depth to cover a callup when we trade Sissons for a 1st
If we trade Sissons for a 1st, I am going to buy some kind of celebratory beverage, that's for sure.

I don't even think it's totally impossible... highly unlikely... but but I really like Sissons as a player, and the way picks are devalued this year, who knows? :dunno:

Lauzon ruled out for rest of season... so there goes trading him

The rest of the injured are practicing atleast

Denisenko is a smallish fella. Maybe some filler for MIL should we need to call more players up after a trade or two.

Id be equally excited if we got anything for smith and/or McCarron
