Nashville not providing update on Josi until after season - did Bennett end his career?

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

He hasn't played since being boarded by Bennett a few weeks ago. Long history of concussions and is turning 35. Could Josi hang em up?

Bennett hit:

Bennett has somehow managed to escape any consequence from being a dirty POS injuring players. Rempe, Tom Wilson, Kadri, etc can't sneeze without DOPS coming for them.. Meanwhile I've lost count how many players Bennett has seriously injured or concussed and he has no where near the same reputation.

Will be interesting to see if he leaves Florida if suddenly the DOPS pays attention after Gregory Campbell isn't pulling strings with his dad and the NHL anymore.

Crazy that he can just take out a Norris captain like that in a nothing game, with no consequence.

Tweet says he won’t play again this season but will be back next year, what makes you think his career is over?

Not over per-se, but concussions are no joke. They robbed the world of essentially the 2 years that would've almost certainly been Crosby's absolute peak years to the point that he thought there was a chance he'd never play hockey again.

That was a 24-26 year old Crosby, we're talking about a 35 year old Josi who has a more extensive concussion history than Crosby did at the time. 1 concussion could be devastating - it significantly altered the career of Daniel Sedin after he got elbowed in the head by Duncan Keith, was never remotely the same goal scorer as he was before.

yeah just seems kind of clickbait-y to me to throw that in the title when it’s 100% speculation on the part of OP.

And not to downplay the seriousness of concussions, but Crosby’s recovery was significantly prolonged by an undiagnosed neck injury. Pens fired their entire medical staff the summer after that came to light.

The neck injury was after the Krejci hit iirc, nothing to do with the Winter Classic hit and the Hedman hit (and even then Crosby did suffer a concussion on the Krejci hit)

man that looks like it could be anything from a concussion to a neck/spinal injury...

sure hope Josi can live a decent life moving forward.

concussions are no joke, had many prior to them being diagnosable by Doctors.

I would say 4-6 in football, 1 in hockey and another in Boxing.

Lmao buddy Bennett isn't tough, he's skinny fat  and he runs away like a little bitch every time he has to fight someone.

Unless he's throwing punches before the other guy has a chance to drop the gloves, then he's real tough. Or if he's hitting guys from behind.

Just a matter of time until someone takes matters into their own hands and gives him a taste of what he likes to dish out. Biggest piece of shit in the league since Matt Cooke.
Bennet when he first came into the league was a Tasmanian devil he would run over and hit everything..loved watching him play his early Calgary years and still plays hard as nail..he is the definition of tough you are wrong. He’s tough and dirty especially pound for pound has always laid people out.

Yeah saying Bennett isn't tough is just hilarious. Didn't he absolutely destroy Max Domi? Maybe that's why.
