He’s barely played to even make that statement.

Byram hasn’t taken a penalty in 6 weeks. And he’s the one making the least mistakes of the defense. You want bad mistakes? watch Toews and Makar (esp Toews) make a ton of giveaways. Manson leads the team by a country mile in bad pinches.

Byram isn’t developing his offensive game and that’s where he’s falling short.

Defending, Byram has been quite good. His defensive metics are vastly superior to Seider. Seider is a much more effective offensive player.

Bo needs to take more chances with the puck. Same can be said for Girard. Good defensively but needs to play better with the puck. Sam has been very meh since his return to the lineup.

Given this is the trade board, I’d offer Zibanejad, Trouba, Lindgren all for sale. Goodrow and Bonino too, but even Benning wouldn’t be dumb enough to trade for them
