Tragic in many ways. His dads anger over not having access to Leafs games was common. Nobody acted out as he did of course.
Spencer’s father lost his stuff over having to watch the Habs or maybe Canucks on a Saturday nightwhen his son was playing for the Leafs.
Living in eastern Ontario in the 60s and 70s all we got was Saturday night CBC and Wednesday CTV games. Saturday was mostly alternating Leafs/Habs but the Habs were available nationwide on French CBC, an hour and a half west to Belleville got Leaf games every week. We were at the mercy of the friggin CBC they had the technology they just wouldn’t do it. Just as they wouldn’t broadcast doubleheader’s on Saturday night and routinely interrupted playoff coverage for the all important CBC British accent news

It was the one where Nazem Kadri levelled one of the Sedin’s, very shortly after Morgan Rielly had crushed another Vancouver player moments before.

A very physical game which the Leafs won.

correct - It was Luca Caputi. Acquired in the Ponikarovski deal was projected to be sizeable goal scoring power forward. But never turned out.
