End of two, NJ leads 2-0. Anchorage were aggressive & relentless in the first handful of minutes in the middle period, putting Jersey on their heels. But the Titans adjusted, shifted the offensive momentum, and scored the game's first goal in the 10th minute after a Wolverines giveaway in their own end & a quick pass to the side of the ANC crease for a snap in. A few minutes later, the second NJ goal came on a rebound that caught the goalie in an awkward position as he slid across the goalmouth. After that, the Wolverines had a few chances to score but were tentative & looking for the perfect shot.
Still no penalties called. SOGs after 2: Titans 27 & Wolverines 20. It looks like ANC has to repeat their early second period press while getting the puck with pace toward the net no matter the traffic or defender pressure. Otherwise, the Titans' transition game & physical play could make this an embarrassing end to the first-year team's season.
