There is no Jet who has been as disrepected by some fans as Toby in his time here. Him being healthy for Round 2 will be a huge upgrade to the Jets d-corps and no reasonable fan can deny that.

Morrow is not even close to Enstrom.
Neither are Myers, Chiarot or Poolman. It always blows my mind how underappreciated Toby is to the Jets game. Beating the Preds increases aignificantlu with him in the lineup.

Are you kidding? If anything, the Wild were "lucky" to face an injured Jets team in the first round.

You're saying the Wild didn't have important injuries to their team?

The Wild were lucky they weren't swept frankly.

There is the Bruce BooDreau school of deception in full effect. The Wild were lucky that the Jets were playing with only 1/2 of their starting D men all series. Still couldn't score.

Curious, what is life like in Winnipeg, Missouri? Do they have a white out there as well? And how did all of those wagers that you placed on the Wild turn out for you?

You're saying the Wild didn't have important injuries to their team?

Seriously all I said is that the Wild had important injuries. No need to get upset about it.

I would say that Tanev is the least appreciated player after all for half the season people didn't even think he belonged on the team. They kept wanting to put Dano in. Myers has a lot more points than Enstrom does this season so I can see the merit in that argument, but, Dano come on.

"Always has, always will" with a big ol' sample size of 4 games.

No he played in the playoffs the last time the Jets made it there :)

I like Enström’s calmness and game but oh man the guy can’t stay healthy.

Really? Maybe I'm misinterpreting this post. Seems to me beyond useless is synonomous with bad. Maybe it's just me.

What I meant was that he’s useless because if he, by a miracle, gets a game in he’ll be injured again. As I said in multiple posts I like his game (though he could shoot more) but have completely given up on him.

Should we call up a third goaltender now and have Berdin back-up with the Moose. Also in Moose talk, would like Jamie Phillips to start the next game.

Where he played 4 games. The only 4 playoff games of his NHL career.

Not sure if they will put Enstrom with Buff or Myers. Myers needs the help more right now and Morrow has played pretty well with Buff...

If Enstrom goes with Myers, Morrow plays. If he plays with Buff they'll put Chiarot in with Myers on 3rd pair. Can't see Maurice splitting up Morrow and Buff to put Ben in there. Not that I would mind, Chiarot has been playing well.

Yes they had important injuries. So did the Jets. You said we were “lucky” they had injuries. That sort of implies that you are suggesting that was why we beat them. So we pointed out that the Jets had injuries too...that’s all.

They were lucky they had a snowstorm that messed up our travel day and probably gave them the one win. :naughty:

I'm not upset, I am exstatic! We won! You were betting on the Wild and you lost. And it wasn't even close.

You seem to be upset and hyper sensitive. Maybe losing all those bets you placed on the Wild is a contributing factor.

Go Jets Go!

Ah I can see how it could be read that way - thats not what I was trying to imply at all. There are a few listings under the definition of luck - I'm using it in a way of 'maybe the Wild make it a harder series for the Jets at full strength' and I think winning in 5 games instead of 6 is advantageous so if their injuries contributed than yeah I'll take it. I didn't mention the Wild's fortunes because frankly it was a non-factor considering how the Jets played - game 5 is a testament to that (no Morrissey, Enstrom, Perreault, Ehlers - still destroyed them).

I can't say Wild had any real 'luck' at all except in Game 3 - possibly the snowstorm preceding it lol - but I think they don't get a pile of garbage fluke goals in the 2nd period its a sweep.

This whole reply is ... wow. I always bet against the teams I want to win because at least if they lose then I get something out of it. As you're probably aware (for tracking my Sportsbook bets which isn't weird at all) I've lost a lot of fake money on betting against the Jets this season and postseason and am very much happy with it. I was at game 2 and 5.

When your improving your team you damn right you do. You'd have kept Scheifele out the rest of the year cause the team was winning without him? Funny how this argument when taken to it's logical conclusion is then always dismissed, yet continually trotted out.

So in your mind Schiefele is equal to Enstrom?

No. Which is also irrelevant. Improving the team is improving the team.

Enstrom was an elite defensive dman this season. Chiarot and Morrow barely if at all beat replacement level. There's no rational argument for keeping Enstrom out over those two.

Does it matter then what level the player is when you bring them back to the lineup if you are winning then? I am not going to hesitate to put Morrissey back in the lineup but would I put Enstrom back in instantly especially after the beatdown game against Minnesota.

If you do insert him and lose the 1st game, do you then replace him with Chiarot?

Didn’t we keep the same line up prior to getting blown out though as well? I get what you’re saying but I would say the upgrade is too great.

I believe they did. I am not saying keep Enstrom out of the lineup because he has had I think his best season in a while but there is that old adage of don't tamper with a winning lineup.
