Not every shot Stamkos takes is perfect. He had a long look at it.

Not every Ovechkin shot is perfect, either, but they seem to beat goalies based on how much velocity is behind the shot and how quick that puck comes off the stick. It doesn't matter how long the view was on the shot, if the puck is in the net as soon as it comes off the stick, it's going to be a hard shot to stop.
