If we can get what Colorado got for Duchene (except I would prefer one great prospect over 2-3 good ones), including multiple picks, then I would love that.
Edit: It slipped my mind that Hayes is on an expiring deal and Duchene wasn’t.

Florida's ownership is getting impatient. They're my candidate to make a huge move over the summer. Huberdeau is the guy I think that they will try to move to make a change. Their current core isn't getting it done.

That's not going to happen. Duchene had term left on his contract when he was dealt. Hayes will get a good return, but not Duchene return good.
I have a suspicion that Hayes will be moved in more of a hockey trade than a future's trade.

They didn't do themselves any favors literally giving away two top-6 players to Vegas in expansion. They were too busy focusing on tearing down what the analytics guys built up than making smart hockey moves.

It’s still nice to see the Rangers play well even when they’re supposed to be bad, but I have to step out of this one to watch our good friend K’Andre in his last game before the WJC. Hope the periods don’t line up too much so I can get the most out of both games

I think he’s more valuable than Andersson for sure, and possibly more valuable than Howden (valuable meaning long-term for the Rangers). But I really think that we can get a return for him close to what Colorado got for Duchene. He’s the type of player that GMs fall in love with. There have to be 1-2 GMs that see him as very, very good 2nd line center. Problem is, he’s on an expiring contract.
