They don’t have their version or C.Jones, well this would be it and they better be all in on this
They carried lot of dead cap this season, they have lot of young talent on offense growing with Allen and with boosted defense they’d be the biggest threat

I agree. They would be rebuilding.
Only so many players Clev can move off. Garrett is $36 mill dead cap. Ward would be $30 mill. His $13 mill salary would transfer over to new team as that is guaranteed. If both those guys got dealt, would push Clev to over $100 mill in dead money for 2025. Not sure how you field a team with that much dead plus Watson contract cap charge of $73 mill currently. Either can't move Ward or have to again push more Watson cap into the future.

I know, but $100 mill of dead cap if you include moving Garrett and Ward, plus Watson would be like $175 mill in cap charges. Cap is what like $265-275 mill for 2025?
Going to be a really rough next 2-3 seasons in Cleveland.

They will find 36 mil when they rework Watsons deal again, and they will figure it out just like the Saints always do

I would agree that they will push $30 odd million converting his base salary into another bonus. They have like $27 mill pushed into 2027. So, they'll just be adding to that number to bump it to closer to $50 million.

I Imagine if the Browns get their stadium plans finalized, they'll be OK with a few rebuilding years so they'd theoretically be ready to contend when it's ready.

Saints having a terrible QB situation is why they go nowhere. They went places when they didn’t. They’ve been a reasonably competitive team.

Much like Trey Hendrickson, who still wants out of Cincinnati, I don't believe Garrett is going anywhere.

Browns just went 3-14, Bengals at least should've been competitive. Garrett is the best player the Browns have had in like 60 years and he's had over 100 sacks in that span. If he wants to go elsewhere to compete for a Super Bowl because the Browns most definitely aren't going to be doing that next year, I don't think people mind that he wants out. He can't force a trade, but it would be a bad look for the Browns if Garrett wants out bad enough.

Biggest issue with the Bills is cap space.
They’ll free up some with random restructures and Miller being gone, but they’ve also got various extensions and resignings to do.
Taking a swing at Garrett would take a ton of creativity with contracts.
I definitely think they should do it, I’m just not super hopeful it’ll actually work. A guy like Garrett on the line would make Ed Oliver go insane, he’s not quite good enough to consistently be a difference maker on his own but if they offense has to worry about an elite guy like Garrett, he was much more freedom on the inside.

Allen, you pay. After Diggs, weapons are not costly. OL. Dawkins is the top guy.
D, they have Oliver. Let their vets on the backend walk, so eating dead cap for them now.

Von Miller is taking up a good chunk. Ed Oliver is being paid like an elite DT. Dawkins is paid like (and actually plays like) a top tackle. Then you've got guys like Milano and Rousseau who combine to take up nearly 30 mil.
Their main moves are:
Cut Von Miller - ~8.5m savings in 2025 despite taking a 15.5m dead cap hit
Restructure Allen - This is all but guaranteed to happen as it happens every year. That'll create ~10M in space. They'll also likely start working on an extension as next years cap hit will be a big one at 65m+ after the restructure.
Restructure Ed Oliver - Will likely happen and lead to ~8M in savings this year
Restructure Dawkins - ~9.5M in savings
Then you're at things like restructuring Knox, McGovern (starting C), Taron Johnson, etc who have smaller deals but might open up some savings.
However you also have to consider that Benford, Rousseay, Cook, Shakir, and Bernard are all entering the last year of their deals so punting too much money into 2026 means you're risking a big roster whole then.
The TL;DR is that the Bills *could* definitely make a Garrett deal work if they really wanted to but it would leave them with very little flexibility this year and especially next.
