I dont even think Myers wanted to get him in the face. Which is why given the timing he probably deserves a game.

Bouchard skated at Myers. Scrums and shots were happening. He got the horns.

As I've stated multiple times, both McDavid and Myers deserve to get a 2 game suspension based on Matthews doing the same thing.

That being said, Bouchard had Pettersson pinned down to the ice earlier in the game and didn't crosscheck Bouchard in the head. McDavid lost his cool and deserves a suspension. If you're arguing that McDavid was allowed to crosscheck Garland, then you would have been alright with Pettersson crosschecking Bouchard in the head?

There's a reason why it's against the rules, Pettersson played within them, McDavid didn't. That's the difference.

The thing is that both Bouchard and Petey were facing the boards. It is entirely possible that Petey was also holding Bouch or his stick trying to sell a call. With McDavid and Garland it was in plain sight and with the game in its dying moments.

The league was fine before McDavid and it will be fine after him. He’s a star but he isn’t a premier ticket seller for the entire league. Washington fans aren’t going to be boycotting the game because McDavid isn’t playing.

Bouchard checked his face for damage and then the two skated towards each other again. This all occurred after the play was whistled dead after the McDavid cross check on Garland.

Myers committed two dirty assaults on Bouchard after that play ended. This was all caught on camera and I’d hope the league takes into account the entire sequence of events when determining Myers suspension and not just the cross check (which seems to be the only video being shown) by itself.

I'm not. I'm just curious to see the video, as I would expect that Bouchard was not trying to stay in the defensive zone when his team was breaking up ice trying to tie the game with the goalie pulled. Some people are trying to paint that picture, so I'd like to see what actually happened.

Myers also two-handed Bouchard in that sequence. Kind of recklessly - just spinning around and swinging wildly. I couldn't tell that it was an elbow that he threw. Need to see a better angle.

Looks like Myers shoulder gets him up high and Bouchard in turn whacks him with his stick. Bouchard than proceeds to keep engaging Myers (Doesn't skate a few feet away, just engages)

I mean more generally than saying you are. One thread is saying holding isnt any justification for a cross checked to the head and the other saying he cross checked him in the head because he held Peterson 30 seconds earlier.
