My thoughts. I'm sure few will agree. That's fine.

Igor Shesterkin: A- Measured against himself

Adam Fox: B Obviously injured

Ryan Lindgren: B- Improved over his regular season

Erik Gustafsson: C- Mixed good and bad. When he killed our 2 man advantage, I wanted to kill him.

Jacob Trouba: D+ I don’t hate him like the rest of you do. He still makes some good plays

K'Andre Miller: D- Only his surprisingly good defensive start the first 6 or 8 playoff games prevent me from giving him an F, let alone a G or an H. I can’t believe how many of you defend him. He’s becoming my most hated Ranger since Bruce Driver. Ohh, but he's sooo talented....

Braden Schneider: C- Horribly disappointing playoff. It’s his third full season. No excuses for the giveaways.

Mika Zibanejad: C- The entire world shakes their heads in unison

Chris Kreider: B- Heroics and disappearance, as has happened before

Jack Roslovic: C Hail Mary acquisition in over his head

Vincent Trocheck: A Did everything but carry the team on his back, which he is not capable of

Artemi Panarin: C+ His best playoff, until it wasn’t

Alex Wennberg: C- Waste

Alexis Lafrenière: A- The brightest spot of the playoffs

Kaapo Kakko: D I’ll give him some slack because of the injury, and he still gets a D

Barclay Goodrow: A Who can explain this?

Will Cuylle: C- Very disappointing playoffs after his good rookie season

Jonny Brodzinski, Matt Rempe, Philip Chytil - Incomplete

Lindgren is a f***ing F------------------

It is hard to be that bad, its even harder to be that bad playing with a top 3 (2?) player at the position in the sport.

It's amazing the leeway a player will get if they take a big hit and return despite being terrible before and after the big hit. He sucked in the regular season and was even worse in the playoffs.

Grades will obviously be very different between the regular season and playoffs. Let me sleep on it first.

Chris Kreider - B (bumped his score up for his epic game 6 vs Carolina)
Mika Zibanejad - D (earned the moniker Zibanebad. What happened to his Stamkos slapper?)
Jack Roslovic - F+ (some of you love his speed, this guy was totally useless in my eyes. always lost the puck avoid hits, never skates hard unless he's celebrating a goal, loses all the puck battles by never showing up to them.
Artemi Panarin - C- (breadman is the soggy breadman)
Vincent Trocheck - A
Alexis Lafreniere - A
Will Cuylle - C (like I was aware of him and yet he was invisible)
Alex Wennberg - D (another softie, better than Roslovic but really a nothing burger of a player)
Kaapo Kakko - D (he had chances, he just managed to flub every one of them)
Filip Chytil - D (in and out after such a long injury. Kinda want to give him an incomplete)
Barclay Goodrow - A- (overperformed is the word)
Matt Rempe - C+ (fell down way too much, didn't bring the pain)
Jimmy Vesey - C (HIMMY)
Adam Fox - C (injured, saw none of his signature blue line dancing)
Ryan Lindgren - C (I mean he probably performed up to his ability if you know what I mean)
Jacob Trouba - F (Trouba Train did not show up. Only Trouba Trainwreck.)
K’Andre Miller - C- (wildly inconsistent)
Erik Gustafsson - C- (felt like he folded in the playoffs once he experienced some puck pressure)
Braden Schneider - B- (I think he did alright for a young 3rd pairing guy)
Igor Shesterkin - A

For this series or all of the playoffs? Because if it's for all of the playoffs even I saw that's a bit much. They made the ECF and didn't have to go to a game 7 in either for series we won.
First series was a joke, Washington was awful and the rangers didn’t even play that well. Carolina is whatever, it’s obvious whatever they do doesn’t work in the playoffs. I’m really not interested in celebrating the first two series. Team failed, and they were exposed again by Florida.

Pass with distinction - Laf, Tro, Goodrow, Igor
Pass - Everybody else
Fail - Panarin, Mika (not including Caps series), Fox (injury), Kakko, Wennburg (warm body)

It's a real shame that Fox was hobbled so badly. What might have been if he'd have been anything close to 100%.

It's also a real shame that Panarin was so ineffective for such long periods. I'd happily take an 80-point regular season guy who can actually play his game in the post season over him at this point.

Still... It was a treat to see Laf shine, fun to watch Goodrow make up for a poor regular season and great seeing Trocheck be such a pest/clutch guy. Igor was Igor.

Miller sucks.
Enough already.
Him and Kakko to whoever for whatever.
"But he eats minutes"
Give the minutes to somebody who wants to play D.

Shesterkin with an excellent series and showing overall but despite being pretty heavily out played, the Florida series was one that he could have stolen and gained legend status had stopped a few shots that he almost always stops. It doesn't completely diminish the performance overall as he had plenty of shots he stopped that he shouldn't have but you can't ignore the bad ones that he let in either.

Trouba….

I give Schneider a lot of credit. I'm surprised to see his ratings so low.

Not exactly an A performance based on turnovers and that, but considering he got shoved into a top-4 role (and with Miller, to boot) because the Trouba-Miller pairing was playing so poorly, I thought he did an admirable job, all things considered.

He showed a lot more 2-way play in the playoffs, and he wasn't hesitant to join in down low or get physical, and both of those things were sorely needed against a team like the Panthers.

Considering he won't be 23 until September, I think he's on track for a big step next year.

One of the bright spots for me. Still things to iron out, but he showed capability.

Lavi - F

Not for getting us to the playoffs (as that was an “A”), but for the sheer bloody-mindedness of refusing to split the bromance of Mika-Kreider or change PP1 when it had clearly been “figured out”. He was outcoached in the ECF and had no Plan B.
Yup. All he did was keep rotating Chytil, Rempe, Wheeler. No real changes, No 11/7 and maybe try Jones for a few shifts, no putting Laf on PP 1 since they were 1 for 15. Terrible job. Gallant 2.0.

HC Laviolette D Installing no Wheels Wheeler into a critical playoff game 5 and then starting with that terribile line in OT.

Florida Panthers A+ They completely dominated the series. Forechecking, board battles, O zone time of possession and penaly kill. The Rangers were just outclassed as they were in the Carolina series but Shesterkin stole that series.

The Rangers have one good line and they were shutdown this series when it counted.

The better team won and the only reason it was close was because of Igor's play. The whole team is soft other than Trouba. They are an easy team to play against in the playoffs.

Florida was better and they deserved to win.

1. An $8M/year captain getting a "D+" from someone who isn't sour on him is still dreadful.

2. Miller was better the first half of the playoffs... because he was away from Trouba. Trouba demonstrably makes Miller worse.
