Across the league these types of games happen all the time, tonight is was the Jets turn. No one seemed to want to play with the exception of Comrie. Toilet this one and on to Minnesota for a very important Monday night clash.

As @sipowicz would say, the Jets look gassed. Comrie stood on his head but that wasn't enough. Losing Samberg didn't help either. On to the next one. I give this game two "cat fails" out of five...

The effort just wasn't there. We hung in, but ran out of gas in the third period while Nashville suddenly found the talent they've been lacking. Oh well, still can't win 'em all, even against the toilet bowl teams.

Samberg anchors Pionk all the live-long day.
His absence made a huge difference in the game.

Are you trying to tell me the Preds were the better team?
Jets should have been ahead after the first and if it was not for the bounces going against the Jets probably would have won.
Both teams had 3 PPs which PP looked better?
Jets played with 5 Defensemen for last 2 periods and yes it makes a big difference because the Jets D jumps into the OZ play.
I’m not making excuses for the Jets but it’s just one of those games … you can win them all.

Thought Comrie played great, Saros played better. Jets could have been up by a few midway through the game against a lesser goalie.

I commented at the end of the 1st that the topline needed to be switched this game. Every single shift that line went on it seemed either they spent the entire shift in their own zone leaking shots or ended the the shift with the Jets taking a penalty. It was 3 turnovers by that line that led to the Morrissey penalty on the go ahead goal and the very next shift they got scored 5 on 5 effectively ending the game.

That line should not have been allowed to stay together any longer than after the first 3rd period shift and maybe the Jets could have had a chance.
