Anyone se the concert announcement? Def Leppard, Joan Jett, Foreigner and Toque on July 9 at Princess Auto Stadium

The next night is Jason Aldean, TY Hubbard from Florida Georgia Line, and Nate Smith for all us country music loving rednecks lol

I can't see how I won't be there both nights. Def Leppard is the one band from my youth that I've never seen live...

I've seen Def Leppard a few times and they are pretty good live, that drummer amazes me playing with 1 arm . Saw Joan a few years ago with Heart and she was excellent. Foreigner has tonnes of great tunes but it's not the same without Lou Gramm and Toque is very, very good. I'll be getting tickets.

Fantastic. SCTV was before my time but I used to watch reruns on Comedy Central when I was growing up. It's incredible how much talent there was on that show. My old man loved John Candy, passed the affinity on to me. I'm a perogie hound and he'd always make sure to tell me John loved Alycia's when we'd go there for lunch.

As far as songs with innuendo, this came to mind instantly. This song was a running joke between my friends and I. Named our ball hockey team after it. It still cracks me up, especially the faces he makes in the music video. David Wilcox a good Canadian fella, to boot.

This one is a little less subtle, but as a teenager I didn't catch his drift initially. A bit of irony there. Great wordplay from my favorite emcee.

No innuendo here. Pretty blatant, but good for a laugh. Not sure why but I feel compelled to dedicate it to @Jets 31

Love David!

Def Leppard begins with On Through the Night, and ends with High 'N' Dry for me.
Setlist probably won't have enough of it.:(

BLACK SABBATH ANNOUNCE ‘BACK TO THE BEGINNING’

This morning, at the home of Aston Villa, Sharon Osbourne and Tony Iommi announced that the original Black Sabbath – Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward – will play for the first time in 20 years. The band will take to the stage to headline BACK TO THE BEGINNING on July 5th at Villa Park.

Saturday, July 5th in Birmingham, England.

Let's check my schedule: Judas Priest 3rd July, Iron Maiden 9th July - both in Switzerland. Imagine Black Sabbath in between. :o

I'll see how much it would cost.. probably more than a ransom.

A fella can dream...

Wow i thought Ozzy was done, i can't believe he is going to be able to perform but that would be a great show. Ozzy is probably driving Sharon crazy at home so she's making him shoo , shoo buggar off. Such a great tune with awesome drumming....

I saw them in 2014. Was one of my best live experience ever. Had tickets for Ozzy as well, but he had to reschedule his gig several times until he wouldn't come anymore.

Holy, the iteration of this thread was started in 2021...nothing bad's happened since then, right?

The song "Torn" is known as a 1997 hit by Natalie Imbruglia, but it was written in 1991 by Anne Preven. The song wasn't released by Anne and had its first exposure in 1993 as a Dutch song recorded by Lis Soreneson (it's on YouTube). Anne Preven formed a band in 1993 called "Ednaswap" and they released "Torn" as part of their debut album in 1995. The song didn't really hit and only became known when Natalie covered it in 1997. Anne talks about and sings the song on the Howard Stern Show

I do like the original recording better. It has that Indie '90's rock vibe.

Perhaps a hidden hip-hop gem from the '90's. A song by Shade Sheist with Nate Dogg. Shade Sheist sings on the Ja Rule song "It's Your Life" and appeared on Tu Pac's video, "So Many Tears" and on the TImberland song "Money Owners" and on the Mariah Carey/ Nate Dogg song, "What Would You Do"

Heck of a catchy blues song by Little Walter
