Winnipeg, Manitoba,
Happy Bruce Day to all who partake! This will be show #11 for us, which pales in comparison to all the real diehards. So cool to be seeing him in our city for the first time.

Buckle up for those who have not seen him before, you're in for a treat! Even with Bruce being 75, I truly wish I had half of his energy.

I would expect he will do a nod along the way to Neil Young or the Guess Who...his set lists can be relatively static but he always throws a curveball or three in there.

Was at Springsteen tonight with my son and some friends. Managed to find my way to the pit on the floor. How in the world Bruce can pull that shit off at 75 years old is beyond me. They started at 7:32 and finished up at about 10:20…… pretty much 3 hours………

Legend.

RIP David Harris aka Cochise in the Warriors. Cancer at age 75 back in October. Crazy movie at the time, seemingly innocent in the modern world.

One of the highlights of the last Tom Petty tour was Joe Walsh opening up. As with all Petty shows, the opening act got a full run and only once (Joe Cocker) did I not see the opening act on stage with Petty. Walsh did three songs in that final show with Petty that I got to see. Not surprisingly Walsh did this song.

Warriors, come out to playay.

Also: Baseball Furies? Halloween costume for a decade.

Randomly popping this in here as I'm guessing most aren't familiar with Dorothy. When the YouTube algorithm occasionally functions properly it presents you with gems if you're paying attention. I've been told (repeatedly) Spotify does this better and I'll get there eventually, likely ten years after I should have.

Some "coverish" songs.

First up is "Rich Girl" by Loucie Lou and Michie One from 1993. They are a British "Ragga/Soul band. They had some success covering "Cecelia" (Simon and Garfunkel) and "Shout" (Isley Brothers). I don't really care for either of those covers, but that's subjective.

Gwen Stefani and Eve used the "Rich Girl" chorus but re-wrote the rest of the song.

Next is a '90's one hit wonder, but with Tom Jones...ooh that's intriguing:laugh: (cheating with the cover thing here)

Okay, let's get to something newer. Sabrina Carpenter does a cover of this Chappell Roan song, "Good Luck Babe"
I like both. Chappell Roan is kind of the underground "it" female songwriter right now, who deserves more recognition than she's gotten so far.

This is her singing her own song

and this is Sabrina Carpenter's cover

With the "Boss" in town for a concert and the following posts of his songs, this is a pretty cool story. I believe the story takes place in 1981.
