Good on them for getting both a week's pay at NHL rates. The Amerks don't play again until Friday.

And from history, while he's slow, Murray understands the job of going to the front of the net and how to regulate when someone needs being sat the f*** down for taking liberties with him or a teammate. I wish he had a bit more mean in him to initiate but there has never been a moment where I have thought "gee, Murray should've done something there" like there has been with so many of the Sabres both big and small.

Murray deserves shot. Think he understands what his role needs to be
Think Murray might need to clear waivers to go back to Rochester

They don’t have to expose Murray to waivers. They get four free moves after the deadline. And if it is injury recall, they can keep the freebies.

Again, Murray understands role - go to the net and STAY there, throw hands when needed. His PP production is very much him imposing his size around the crease. Even if it’s just somebody shooting it in off of him while he sprawled out back post, he does the job. I’m so sick of having a team of guys who don’t understand the job, who don’t do the job, the ones who shrug and look at the sky and don’t stand up for one another.

I did hear somewhere on this board that his skating has improved since he last came up what 2 years ago? The type of team we have you would think a guy like him would be ideal with his size and net presence

If Murray wants to make the team, he needs to accept he needs to fight every game on this recall

over the course of a season, he needs to be in 30 fights. This would be his role on the team. Plus, he can play a somewhat regular shift

If he fights 30 times in a season hes gonna resemble Kim Duk-koo more then a hockey player.

nobody takes that kind of a beating in a hockey fight

Kim for some reason thought he was fighting the Korean War instead of a boxing match. He refused to stop when his life was leaving his body. Linesman are in anytime one gets a semi-decent punch in the NHL

I've read some silly things on here but this is one of the silliest.

I was being a bit facetious. Still a short road to CTE fighting that frequently.
