Ok here we go again, Randy and Drew say it "Mook-mah-doo-lin", but shouldn't it be "mook-ah-mah-doo-lin"? I feel they are leaving out a syllable with that first "a" in there.

Looks like a 5 syllable name, the boys say it as a 4 syllable. I haven't heard Dan pronounce it yet.

This is about as close as you can get with it being anglicized

In Russian the kh is somewhat closer to an h sound but more phlegmy

Something like:

It depends on how much you're willing to butcher it vs the Russian pronunciation lol
It’s Muk-ham-a-dull-in
This is pretty solid butchering, but it seems like that's what announcers are going with, unfortunately...

Russians are just wrong with how they pronounce English so it doesn't matter

Lmao, but in all seriousness, the right pronunciation is "Moo-ha-ma-doo-lin"
I think it's important to recognize here that the missing 'K' in this phonetic spelling is aspirated on the 'H', therefore not a closing consonant sound following "Moo".

Emphasis the K or not in your pronouciation, just know that the K sound is part of the second syllable.

I still like calling him Muk though (pronounced like the pokemon lol)

How has he looked so far? Us Devils fans were pretty high on him when he was here.
I'm not the best player evaluator, but I would say he is a very solid defender so far. I think he will be between a 4th to 5th defensemen for a competitive team. I could see him being a good complimentary defensemen for a clear 1RD but we have more of LD depth right now so not sure where he fits in the long run. Maybe a perfect 3LD of the future.
