time to go through the list of other teams Utah could get a defenseman with their 6th

I for one would take this deal.
Who knows... if Guhle's lucky, he might even manage to carry his suitcase to the airport without injuring himself.
Imagine leaving the draft with 5 (Demidov-Lindstrom) and 6 (Iginla) or a better d than Guhle in 3 years.
Habs need one of Hutson, Mailloux, Reinbacher, Barron to hit and Guhle will be quickly forgotten.
Guhle isn’t a top pairing defenseman.
Not now , but he's closer right now than anyone you're drafting at 6
Guhle is better than every single D named above minus Thedore who's close to 30
Weird. He played top pairing all year vs the other teams top line and was pretty good at it.
Same at the WC...
You do realise the primary goal of a D is to defend right? Not all about having 80pts seasons

Guhle is a proven young NHL defenseman and not only are we giving him up, we are adding more to get a magic bean at 6th.
Makes a lot of sense...said no GM in history.
If this was last year and we're talking 3rd OA and getting Fantilli, I would drive Guhle to the airport, but this year with everyone and his dog doing nothing but guessing, a big fat NO.

5 years from now, let's revisit to see how many NHL games Dmen picked 4-8 have played in the NHL, and compare that to how many Guhle will have played...
He's arguably the best d man from the 2020 draft class, it's frankly silly to expect a dman available at 6OA this year will be a better NHLer. Typical shiny new toy draft class assessment.

Both sides say no. Guhle is too important to Montreal now and in the future. Utah says no because Guhle isn't quite worth that pick in a pure value sense.
