Proposal: MTL & NYI

This is going to be locked out pretty soon since the mods hates me.

MTL : Both first 2025 (#14+#16) + Beck or Kapanen + Heinemen
for
NYI : Barzal

MTL gets theirs 2C for the long run

NYI gets great futures and a ready 3C and save 9 mil and get a other decent prospect NHL ready.
 
Only way I trade Barzal is if we somehow get an equal or better Centre as a replacement whether it in the same or separate deal.

Only deal I see working is if the Islanders and Canucks want to do a change of scenery trade with the basis of Barzal for Elias Pettersson

That's a big contract for a guy who's never been a ppg since his rookie season

I'd rather stay clear especially if he's starting to get injured now.

You can probably get better value elsewhere like on the open market where you don't need to overpay in assets

Only reason Barzal played wing was because we couldn't find a high end winger for him to play with and traded for Horvat instead which gave us 3 top 6 centers. As it stands now i see Barzal moving back to center because of Nelson being delt and we will try find a legit #1 winger to play with either Barzal or Horvat.

...Barzal is terrible defensively at C...that also had quite a bit to do with him playing primarily RW now...

Barzal isn't worth that kind of return.

That one has made some sense to me for a while but Vancouver need to offer up a sweetener.
