If Boston needs someone like Dvorak, that’s not bad when they’re only moving down 7-15 spots. If there’s no need, however, this is just meh.

I mean, if Boston loses two centers during the season and somehow don't need their first to get a BETTER first than Dvorak... Maybe?

Dvorak is a decent faceoff center and shooter, but he's soft and isn't a strong skater.

I don't see a trade to be made with Boston until the trade deadline. Then again, we're in the same division and it will depend on Dvorak's health and performances.

he's getting better

Decentish value proposal, but still ultimately senseless trade.

Getting better
Yes it's decent value but even if Boston really needed a centre they shouldn't be moving thier first until they have an idea where they are going to finish. And probably who their goaltender will be.

Its basically "Here you go! Here's Dvorak and a 2nd and a 3rd now please let this be the year your team falls off"

The Boston pick would have to be a protected one to even just start the conversation.

terrible for boston, if any GM pays a 1st for Dvo, yikes.
Keep in mind, Montreal 's 2nd is likely to be top 40 or so, Boston's first might well be #25. Still doesn't make sense for Boston but also doesn't get Montreal much value for a rental and their last retention slot.
