MSG Networks now leaves Optimum. Now what do I do?

  • Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. So on new years night at 1205 when I saw MSG was turned off I signed up for FuboTV, signed up for Verizon Fios internet to be installed and 4 days later cancelled Optimum completely. They tried like hell to keep me but my wife made it very clear why we were leaving.

It helps that my wife had been asking to leave Cable for a while so she was very happy to make the call.

I have enjoyed my FuboTV experience so far. I have to have DVR ability for Devils games. Sometimes I’m not always available right at 7pm so I record and watch delayed. I havent missed cable to this point at all. Even if they fixed their issues tomorrow I’m not going back.

Fubo and the other streaming tv options like sling or Directv are just cable without a box. Maybe slightly less expensive but not by much.

Oh yes I agree, my wife uses the apps for everything and has for a long time. We were paying like 270 for cable. Its a lot cheaper for us ditching cable. I stayed with it because it was comfortable and the Devils. Once that changed they lost me.
 
Got a text from Optimum that MSG is back on channels 203 & 204. No idea why the regular channels still say not available.
