Depends on the cost per month/year but could be cool. A lot of people complain about NHL Center Ice, NBA Courtside, NFL Red Zone etc. for like $150 per season but you have to remember that's the cost of going to like 1-2 live games or 1-2 bar trips so it's not that bad.

Comparing prices in this way makes no sense. It's also significantly cheaper than buying a car or house, but that doesn't mean it's a reasonable price. It will entirely depend on how it's priced against competitors/similar offerings.

I just moved out of market so this shouldn’t be an issue for me for the next year or two. But I’d be thrilled if this got done for a reasonable price by the 23-24 season.

It’s the only reason why I had a fubo and then a Sling sub last year.

I’m really hoping it’s like 20 bucks a month.

This isn't Disney+ or Netflix price ranges. We're talking $30/mo.+ likely.
Idc if its $30 a month as long as I am not blacked out from National broadcast games. That is my gripe with ESPN+. As a cord cutter I still can't watch games that are on a National broadcast.

If I get the Rangers crew every game and am guaranteed all 82 regular season games, I'd pay $50. Take my damn money.

You will still get blacked out with this service.

Yeah, you're still going to get blacked out. You're only going to get the games broadcast on MSG, MSG+, MSG2, etc with this.

Everyone's different but paying $30 a month for essentially two channels would be a non-starter for me who wants to get the games on national TV, watch other sports (SNY, YES, etc). The cheapest Fios plan where you'd get pretty much every sports channel you need to watch the local teams I believe is $70. Not cheap but one direct streaming service for the Rangers and one for the Mets if it were ever offered basically gets you to that price alone.

So what's a reasonable price?

$150 a season or even $180 a season as an over isn't that bad if you get MSG 24/7. Some people pay that for Cable per month.

If it turns out to be less like some Hulu or some Disney+ thing, I'd be very surprised.
