Wouldn’t mind snatching up Fucale or Subban for a third string option through waivers. Both Campbell and Mrazek haven’t shown much longevity in their games and while Hutchinson’s been pretty decent, I’d rather try and get a cheap, younger guy into the system that has some pedigree. I don’t think Scott or Woll are the answer.
...and this is why I wanted the Leafs to pick up a goalie in the waivers because these injuries can/will happen but also I don't see the Leafs retaining the services of one of Campbell or Mrazek for the foreseeable future.

I didn't see the game, but since he finished the period, I wouldn't be surprised if it was minor.

It was on the last play of the period, there wasn't much of anything to finish.

It might be minor but it also looked like the kind of thing that can turn into a recurring/nagging injury if forced back too early.

I am sure Justin Pogge is available or Jiri Crha.

Tuukka Rask is still unsigned. Just saying.

I took so much heat for calling out the signing of an injury prone goalie to tandem with an injury prone goalie. As a fan sucks to have your concerns justified, and it pisses me off that our management continues to undervalue goaltending.

Its definitely the most Leaf thing ever to sign a player and have them immediately get injured.

I mean we can't really blame bad luck when we sign people like Mrazek, Kase etc who have historically been unlikely to complete a season without being injured and then they get injured (touching wood on Kase rn).

Is it just me or do most Czech players seem injury prone?

It's hilarious how Hutch is the one who stays healthy. But the Leafs' really good goalies? Nope, never.

At what point do we have to start questioning the goalie coaches?

campbell. Torn groin
Mrazek. Groin.
Freddie. Mystery leg injury?

All in the past 6-8 months. Heck even Scott/woll

Everyone is hurt except good ol hutch
Maybe we should look more closely at Hutch. Might be buttering up the other guys pads to hurt them.

Good Ol' Reliable.

It's astonishing how lucky Hutchinson is. Rarely plays good enough to stay in the NHL, but always ends up on a roster. Now he just needs to go on some Cinderella run and win us the Stanley Cup
Hutchinson's career numbers are very respectable:
135GP, 2.78GAA, .906SV%

And last season he was great for us; 2.42GAA and .919SV%, Leafs fans just can't get over the 19/20 season where he did struggle but Babcock almost exclusively used him in game 2 of back to backs and the team completely gave up in front of him.

Mrazek is the Lupul of goalies and as a team we have still have yet to learn that we shouldn’t sign this guy? I get that we wanted a tandem in net but we could have easily signed 1B goalie for the kind of money this guy got rather than having 3 million plus sitting on the shelf. I would be shocked if this guy is available for half his days in the Blue and White.

And yes I get that estimate may be a bit overblown and every player night or season could be over each and every time they step in the ice but this guy is made of glass. Good goalie when healthy but just can’t stay healthy.
