Anaheim is a great place for Marner, no pressure fan base, nice weather, they’ll offer him more than he’s worth and I’m happy they’ll take him off our hands…….

So far Tre has really only had an option on two of the four - the better two (at the time), which he signed. Let's give him a chance on the other two before blaming him for their salaries.
And I think it might work with the right 4 - say if he had been able to swap Marner for Rantanen.
Take out Roope Hintz and replace him with David Kampf. How does Rantanen do then?
Wingers don't matter if the center keeps destroying offensive pushes with his complete inability to do ANYTHING right now.

Agreed but I’m sure there were other players of the same ilk as Marchand.
That said it is hard to have success against a team like Florida when we have a 13 million dollar black hole that can no longer hit the net to save his life. Marner and Willy have gone MIA now that Florida have started to hit them.
Tkachuk isn’t going to do shit all. That video is plastered everywhere. He’s going to put his team down if he does anything.
Additionally Tkachuk can barely skate out there. Complete non factor in this series. I even forgot he was playing until he was on the bench.

That might be a decent swap but unless he can do something with Matthews not much will change. 13 million is simply to much for a guy who can’t put the puck in the net in the playoffs
Only core 4 player to not score in riund 2 of the playoffs. That says all that needs to be said!

The Panthers decided in game three if they couldn't win the Leafs were going to pay holy hell, well the Panthers proceeded to hit, cheap-shot and goon their way through the game. At the time I can remember what is the point of this? Is it just to be a ass? Nope, the point was they are the Champs for a reason and the Leaf were for 7ish periods making the Panthers look human. All of that goonerish behaviour in game three translated to game 4 where the Leafs simply wanted nothing to do with the Panthers. The Leafs quit before the puck was dropped for game four.
The Leafs playoffs is cooked. they will get to play 12 games but in reality their playoffs ended in game three in the 2nd period.
The lead in game 3 was a wasted opportunity. The Leafs are simply out desired by the Panthers, the Panthers want round three, the Leafs want to go home.

They play the death by a thousand cuts, one hit does not matter but they will make sure if they take a PIM, it hurys you more than them.

It was a dumb hit but compared to some of the dirty stuff that the Panthers do, its failrly demure.
Not a single minute in PIM called on the Panthers for any of these three plays.

Fair to say, we need a big game 5 coming off our game 4. Man its the game 3 that stings right now, but the boys can win our hearts back if they really want to.

that stop up play in the 3rd when Marner sailed it waist height for him, to try and bat that down instead of catching it. followed a couple mins later by Rielly stopping behind the net after an ozone faceoff gets cleared with line 1 on the ice and then flinging the puck waste high toward the centre ice dot. OEL did similar later in the 3rd. I guess they were kind of out of ideas.
