Post-Game Talk: Mother's Day No Show: Leafs Lose 2-0

this was the most important game of the series IMO, and we blew it

we aren't winning two games straight against the panthers, so that leaves a game 7. If I were a betting man I'd put a lot of money on the leafs losing that and so I think we blew the chance at the series

massive f*** up to squander a 2-0 series lead, you just have to win 1 f***ing game of the next two and they blew it.

Winning or losing game 5 isn't really important we aren't winning game 6

I really fuxninf hate the panthers. Why isn't berube saying shit like this when those dick f***s keep headhunting us? So frustrating

they haven't won a game 7 since 2002, and won their cup by winning in 4,5, or 6

if this goes 7 it's guaranteed we lose, and it most likely will
 
Bennett pushes OEL on Woll targeting our goalie again. No words said. Kulikov elbow to Marners head. No words said. Domi hit on Barkok from behind and it's the end of the world. Panthers players are just like they're coach. Always whining. Unfortunately we got Greene and Maurice in rounds 1 and 2 who whine the most and their players follow.

They make it easy for PTSD to kick in with the fanbase. Watching this game clearly opened some old wounds. You guys can go to sleep now, I have a full working day ahead. All we can do is hope Berube can change the script.

The big boys need to get it done but some changes should also be made in the bottom six. 5 guys taking a regular shift who don't have a single goal. Robertson and Kampf should get some consideration.

Game 2 Woll was able to hold down and get the win in a game we weren't that great either. He wasn't great but solid in the 3rd as needed.

Game 4 we needed our offense to put pressure and generate looks. We finished with 21 shots and at one point the shots were like 27 to 8.

Stolarz people are forgetting wasn't doing very great either before the injury vs the Sens and had let 1 in vs FLR as well, just our offense had beaten Bob a few times on bad goals and gotten a 4-1 lead.

If we need our goalie to give 1 or 2 goals only we arent winning too many games.

The team in game 5 needs to give 3 goals support and Woll needs to give 2 or less

War gaming this out, our paths to victory don’t look that great.

Over the next two, I think it’s more likely Bob performs better than Woll.

Primary scoring. I’m budgeting 0 Matthews and Marner goals. Nuff said.

Knies, Nylander, Tavares. 3 goals from these guys would feel really good.

Our secondary scoring has been brilliant but how much scoring can we predict out of Rielly, OEL, Domi, Pacioretty? 2 goals out of that bucket 2 games would be a success? Probably.

Our tertiary scoring, everybody else. 1 goal in 2 games?

So we have maybe 6 goals. Are we holding Florida to 2 goals over the next 2? Feels unlikely. We’ll see but this team has no chance with AM34 playing with his head up his ass.

Even if Woll performs better like much better than Bob like tonight. Leafs still need to score.

The NHL would be better off if the big markets were loaded, superstars where the biggest markets on big teams and you just sold big storylines and all that. No ones tuning in to watch the Tax Free State Cup in mid June. We have brief Canadian summers to enjoy.

Bettman wants one thing more than anything else. More American born players, and since he's been head of the league he's getting want he wants.

I made a jinx thread hoping to wake up Matthews. Let’s cross our fingers because if we had a 13m, 69 goal superstar playing, this series would be different.

Honestly, if that’s the case. Bettman probably wants the Leafs to win.

AM, Capt America
Max, the good old American vet
Knies, one of the best young American in the league.
McCabe and Carlo, most likely play their way to the US Olympic team
Then there is the Brick Woll and Giant Stolze
