Neither is overrated. Maybe 10 years ago on HF, but not today.

However if I'm forced to pick one, I'd say Fedorov simply because he had more instances where his on ice performance did not match his ability.

Overrated is when Federov gets promoted as the only player to win the Hart and the Lindsay as if those were mutually exclusive. it's doubtful he wins that Hart if his defensive game wasn't considered.

This was my gut instinct and Foppa get the "most over rated" because he sustained his elite level of play the longest and gets talked about more.

Overall though both guys still tend to be under rated for different reasons.

I was thinking Fedorov until I went back and looked at his career, his longevity made me forget just how dominant he was when he was younger. Forgot he won a hart trophy.

I'll go with Forsberg whose largest single season goal total is 30 and he's overrated from the olympic shootout goal.

He said something about Fedorov being able to win a Norris if he wanted to.

My biggest gripe about Fedorov was that he could have turned it on more in the regular season. We all knew Fedorov would dominate in the postseason but didn’t know which guy would show up the other 82 games. He’d play great against the avs, stars, blues and other big name teams. Then he’d coast against Nashville and Columbus.
