This will sound crazy to people outside of Edmonton but Evander Kane. The guy is all over the community doing things and engaging with the fans.

It does, but I'm glad he's finding some redemption there..... That said as a former shark and (current) oiler it is my sworn duty to hate him life.

I'd honestly lean more towards Josh Morrissey. Much like Lidstrom he just seems like a great hockey player and person. As someone else mentioned, Lowry is another player that is very well respected.

Samuel Ersson because he was giving his all to deputize for 79 down the stretch, plus he has a good attitude. People liked him even before he became the backup, when he would play as a callup the year Felix Sandstrom was the backup.

Obviously, we're in the middle of a Michkov honeymoon, too.

I'd add Knies, Stolarz, and McCabe to this and that's the end of the list. Everyone else has either been here through too many losses or they're flawed in such a way that there's a sizeable number of detractors (Domi, Rielly). Stolarz, Tanev, OEL and Lorentz are all new and have played excellently to start, and Knies, McMann, and McCabe play the type of game this fan base loves.
