Inspired by the Armia thread and memories of Andrei Kostitsyn I'll pose the following question: Which habs player frustrated you the most on the ice?

There's many different ways to interpret the question from players that are complete liabilities on the ice, has no IQ or left more to be desired.

I'll start off by saying Andrei Kostitsyn. If showed glimpses every season of the player he could be (a offensive power forward) but would always fade away. Guy could hit like a tank, shoot the puck and stick handle. He just didnt put ot all together consistently.

Vladimir Malakhov. Will always believe that if he had any kind of heart, work ethic, and true desire and love for the game, this guy would have been one of the best overall D to have ever played the game.

The thread probably could've been closed right after "Benoit Pouliot".

EDIT : Oh yeah Malakhov too, but for somewhat different reasons.

Drouin, for that back pass after gaining the zone that he was so fond of and his unwillingness to get physically touched. DD because of the favoritism shown him. Pleks for that patented chest shot. Kovalev for taking entire games off. Armia because he can but won't. Just so many, I just watch and grind my teeth.

Eller for me and his 2-3 laps around the offensive zone that either died in the corner when he was triple teamed or a turnover at the blue line. Unfortunately Armia has been watching tape of Lars in Montreal and doing the exact same shit.

Even more frustrating was watching Eller in Washington become a north-south player that drove the net and used his teammates

Vladimir Malakhov is a great one. He had the skills to contend for a Norris.

I was frustrated that Andrei Kostitsyn never exploded into a superstar, although I still liked his game, and I don't think the "mens rea" is as severe in his case as it was for Malakhov, so I don't really blame him.

And no, I won't ever consider Alex Kovalev for this category. An artist needs inspiration, he cannot deliver masterpieces on command every single day. Kovalev didn't frustrate me, he amazed me more than any other Hab, and that's what I remember.

Drouin and Armia for having the skills and no heart or desire. Softer than butter. Gallagher for doing dumb shit all the time then acting the victim to the refs.

Number one though... Kovalev. Guy was the best player in the league when he wanted to be, then a floater the next three weeks. I hated him for that. If he played consistently, he would have been a superstar.

Oh there's more... so many more...

Scott f***ing Gomez. Buttercup. Always tried to deke and make nice plays and always lost the puck. Didn't score for a calendar year and acting like it was hilarious.

Brisebois, Brunet and Darch but they were mainly used badly, but all three were awful players!

Forgot about Malakhov. So much potential that never really materialized
