2002 for me.

Honourable mention to 2014 where the Canadian team just completely obliterated the field. Didn’t make for exciting hockey but how much better that team was than everyone else was something special.

I don't really remember 96 or 98 super well but I do remember the gravitas of those tourneys. 2002 was my first great international hockey memory. That team was so good. 2010 and 2014 also incredible. This 4 Nations thing was really well done tons of high caliber players. But it's maybe 4th or 5th for myself as a Canadian hockey fan.

and as a Canadian hockey fan:

I always think 2002 is underrated in Canada. Canada lost in the 1996 World Cup and the 1998 Olympics. There were serious questions about whether we were still number 1 at that point in time. I have the following:

1. 2010 Olympics (In NA, with Canada vs. US final, golden goal)
2. 2002 Olympics (In NA, with Canada vs US final, Canada silenced doubters)
3. 1996 World Cup of Hockey. This is etched in my memory of a period of heart break as a Canadian hockey fan and as a Winnipegger. Rough period, but a very memorable series. US had the better roster in retrospect.
4. 2014 Olympics - Probably the best series Canada has ever played. No only did they not lose a game, but at NO point were they trailing in a game.
