Most controversial/missed call so far these playoffs?

Which one?

I mean the biggest missed call will be the one with the most consequence. IE cost a game or a series. Otherwise, a clearly wrong call like the self high stick in Canes vs Caps is an obviously wrong call and there isn't really alot of interpretation there.

I’ll always root for Bennett to lose after watching him take out yet another goalie. I wouldn’t be even slightly upset if someday someone ends his greasy ass career. I don’t want to watch him jeopardize everyone else’s anymore.

The worst call I’ve seen so far was the no-goal for Florida last night, the one where absolutely anyone could see that Jones was clearly tripped causing the collision with the goaltender, and the call was both no goal and no penalty.

The Scheifele trip being called a penalty instead of a penalty shot was also really blatantly bad. I’ve never seen a player tripped on a breakaway that clean and it not be a penalty shot.

Outside of Bennett, do you think any single one of those plays are even close to the Domi boarding?
That's a Panthers fan, and sarcasm, and the Bennett one might be the best non call of the bunch.

The offensive player has every right to take the puck to the net, plus his glove makes contact with the goalie on the back of the hand/wrist area and the arm never even extended from his body. Not a single piece of any elbow ever even touched Stolarz, no matter how badly people want to see it.

Won't make any less heads explode however.

The Petrovic "kick" shouldn't even be on this list. The puck wasn't even on net until Hellebuyck knocked it in himself. Wouldn't have even been a SOG.
Right? You are allowed to pass with a kicking motion.

Imagine someone kick passes and another player bats it into his own net and then argues that it was a kicking goal. That just sounds so wrong.

Anyway, picked Bennett because it's insane how he keeps getting away with this, time after time. He's a master of the "accidentally on purpose" dirty play.

Easily Bennett running Stolarz.

If andersen stays hot against FLA, they will absolutely run him, as he is made of glass and everyone knows it. It WILL happen if he keeps them out of the net.

Mikola hit that got him a fine (not sure it was even that), where he hit a defenseless player who was on the ice, and where this hit has gotten multiple suspensions in the past, seemed pretty black and white.

Let me pre-face this by saying, Leafs lost and deserved to. They had chances to close out the series and didn't show up. Just in case the usual suspects come in with the same nonsense. Compete no-show from the entire team in a game 7, unacceptable.

With that being said

If the Bennett play doesn't happen, or if a penalty/suspension is made against him, it changes the outcome of the series

Although the Leafs didn't show up in games 5 and 7

Game 3 they were the far better team and up early with multiple 2 goal loads, Woll let in some really bad goals

That series could have been 3-0 if Bennett is suspended or if the play isn't made and we have Stolarz in net

It's a huge what if, lots of people on the Leafs board believe it would have been a 3-0 series which changes the way the rest of the series goes completely. At that point they probably win the series and we're having a different discussion today.

The Mikkola thing was so weird. I wouldn't say I know his full history, but to me in the moment (and still, actually), he doesn't exactly have the reputation of being a dirty player. What he did was an easy major and game misconduct, but I was left feeling mostly bewildered that it was him of all people to do it. I think he did get a token fine, but he wasn't suspended, and because it's Mikkola I don't really have a strong opinion about it. I guess if there was a fine (however trivial of a dollar amount), that puts something on his disciplinary history for repeat offender status if he does something again, but like I said based on what I know of him, I doubt he does because he doesn't strike me as the kind of player who pulls that kind of stuff. Of course, even players with clean reputations very occasionally do something incredibly dumb and reckless, but the incidents are few and far between. That's probably just what went on with him.
