Morgan Rielly

Get out of town while there’s still a chance of getting a cheer during your tribute video.

My goodness though, in a game that will forever by synonymous with the collapse of the era, he was unbelievably bad. Shockingly bad performance, much less from one of our supposed leaders.

I’ve written so many posts defending this guy the last year or two, but even in my most optimistic moments, I don’t see what the point of keeping him around would be. This team needs an exorcism, he should take his pink slip along with the rest.

The absolute worst. He has to go 1000 percent. Look at his presser before Game 6, he's shot mentally. Behind the barn for the good of everyone, it the humane thing to do. Trade him for whatever.

I have always been a Rielly guy.

I have advocated for him to be Captain at various times.

Always hated that he never had a trued RHD partner to develop with and always had a revolving door at that.

I still don’t hate him, but he’s not delivering what we need and what he’s being paid for.

Clearly overweight and not thinking the game well.

I’m afraid he’s going to experience the same dramatic drop off in his game that we saw in Brodie.

Still another 4 years of his contract and a NMC.

I’m interested to see how Treliving handles Rielly.

He's still a guy I would love to see turn it around but he clearly wasn’t good enough for us when we needed him.

Maybe it starts with more time with Carlo and losing 15 pounds and improving his conditioning before the start of next season.

We’d be lucky if that was all that he needed.

Rielly is at 225 pounds and gets outmuscled by everyone. Guys gotta love 20 pounds of flab just to get into NHL game shape. He was gassed on the first shift huffing and swatting uselessly at the puck. He was ready for it to be 1-0 just to get back to the bench.
