Maybe I'm wrong but I think the cap will remain flat for the 2020-21 and 2021-22 Seasons. If I'm correct about that timeline Rielly's contract expires after the 2021-22 Season, so let's hope the cap will be going back up after that when it comes to re-signing him.Curious what happens to him if this flat cap remains. Starting next season we aren’t even likely to be able to bring back the players we currently have.. Andersen will be hard to retain next year and in two years Rielly impossible without a serious cap/team restructuring. I know a lot of people are hoping some rookie ELC will help but I mean it’s going to be difficult to juggle regardless

i only care about winsAssuming Rielly is 100% healthy like we saw during the 2018-19 Season when he had 20 goals and 72 points in 82 games and finished 5th in the Norris Trophy voting, what's a real expectation for his goals and points this season?

I agree that wins is the most important thing. However if Rielly can have a similar offensive performance like he did in the 2018-19 Season wouldn't you agree that will help Toronto get those wins?i only care about wins
I think Rielly sometimes overcommitted to scoring goals to the detriment of the defense. He needs to be aware that playing low in the ozone puts the team at risk if there is nobody back. Positionally, you dont want guys like Marner laying on the blue line for very long as a backstop. He has got things to do...like setting up MattyI agree that wins is the most important thing. I disagree I think he gives up offensive opportunities because his partners have been poor defensively. His best season was with his best partner defensively and now he gets his best partner by a wide margin. Look at pass leaf games and see the amount of two on ones against when he was in the ice and you will see he was the one at least 70% of the time.I think Rielly sometimes overcommitted to scoring goals to the detriment of the defense. Does anyone agree or disagree with Morgan Rielly projected to get 48 points next season?
If that happened I would consider it to be a surprise, although I won't be upset at seeing that.I say he gets over a ppg.
I dont think is was an innate flaw. It just felt like he put a lot of pressure to get the game moving. After his big season, he seemed to increase his net attacks more and more to replicate it...especially when the forwards weren't scoring. It might just have been that the glaring holes we saw in those now dead defensemen, were making the forwards timid and reluctant to overcommit low. He just needs to play his game and not worry about defensive scoring titles. He will get plenty. He is definitely going to have a great year (barring injury).I disagree I think he gives up offensive opportunities because his partners have been poor defensively. Last season you need to remember that Rielly was playing hurt for a lot of games. So he wasn't the same player we saw in the 2018-19 Season.I dont think is was an innate flaw. Look at the number of games last season when Rielly was playing with Cody Ceci, so at least something like that won't happen as much when he's playing with TJ Brodie.I disagree I think he gives up offensive opportunities because his partners have been poor defensively. What's the AAV to re-sign him? I'd say around 7mil should do it.Morgan should have had 4 pts tonight as he set up players for easy goals. Beast mode this season.

Like I said take off those hate glasses and watch the game.Umm no.

Now last season when he scored this goal against San Jose was he able to pinch in because of his offensive ability and will playing Brodie help him score more goals like this from the faceoff dot, instead of getting more goals with shots from the blue line.
