Player Discussion Morgan Geekie

I would like to see DS sign him to a bridge deal. Not sure if his scoring rate is sustainable. Zadorov and Pasta are the only players Sweeney has signed in a while who earns their contract! Swayman, McAvoy, and Lindholm were not earning half of what they are paid. It will make things worse if he decides to go off board with this years round 1 draft!
Absolutely, not more than 4milx2

Wasn't there some stat on Geekie when the Bruins had signed him 2 years ago about how he had the 2nd highest 5v5 shooting %(next to ovechkin)? Or something like that? I could be thinking of someone else

6x6

If he’s the guy he was last year it’s a steal of a contract

If it was a fluke and he’s just a 15-20G 40P guy

that’s probably worth around 4/4.5 million by today’s cap standards

But in 2 years when the cap skyrockets again to 115 million

6 million will be the going rate for 3rd liners

So even if he does regress your only looking at maybe 1-2 years of being overpaid before his cap number% falls in line with other

A 10 million a year player would be worth 13 million in 2 years going by cap%

Give him the 6x6 , and hope you are on the right side, if not you have done worse in the past, and it will not be the end of the world.

Perfect sell high candidate. He is extremely unlikely to shoot 22% again next year so if you can move him for good value they absolutely should.

Yes, lets trade the ONE winger we have (other than Pastrnak) who was actually worth a shit last year......Or at least low ball him on a 2 x $4.5mil offer.

That'll send a great message to the locker room. I mean, it’s not like we need scoring help or anything, right? BTW, Harry Sinden 100% endorses this.

If you're a prospective Free Agent, you'd be lining up to come here after that, no?
