I like Geekie and say so consistently, but he is having a career year in a perfect storm for a third liner playing over his head. Ponder that. Some of you would have traded him at one point for a 2nd.

I will say this, sustainable or not, he has elevated his play when he started playing with Pastrnak which can not be said about Zacha and Lindholm, prior to his recent stint on the 1st line.I like Geekie and say so consistently, but he is having a career year in a perfect storm for a third liner playing over his head. They would match that.In the 4-5 million range? I like Geekie, but obviously you guys watch him more and know to what extent the Bruins management values him at.

Thanks! Him, Zacha, & ROR are my ideal targets for the Habs to get at 2C.They would match that.
Zacha would help you but his lack of finish is very frustrating. Thanks! Him, Zacha, & ROR are my ideal targets for the Habs to get at 2C.
As long as he gets a good amount of time with Pasta, it could be the start of something....middling.This might be a career year for The Geek. Ideally there would be one more season at close to this level of production before having to decide to pay him a ton of money. Alas... management has got to decide if this season is a one off or the start of something big.
You are right his lack of finish is frustrating, I am a Zacha guy, but jeez, he has to be better in that department. I see his skill level and he does compete, in both ends of the ice, but like you said, "frustrating"Zacha would help you but his lack of finish is very frustrating.
We have plenty of guys that don't hit the net with their shots, never mind a goalie. His outside shot is not a joke, and unlike a lot of guys having outlier years, he has not gotten the majority of goals in garbage areas.I like Geekie and say so consistently, but he is having a career year in a perfect storm for a third liner playing over his head. He doesn't have that Business School powerhouse degree though. Could get messy with an amateur at the wheel.Geekie is going to hold out and re-set that market for middle 6 wingers.
8x$9.5M incoming!
He's 26 years old and the guy is gonna pot 30+ this year. He's gotten better and better every year he's been in the league. I see no reason why we wouldn't expect his performance on the ice to be sustainable. Will be interesting to see what he signs for, and if the Bruins can get a deal done without going to arbitration.

Based on his performance this season, the guy is easily WORTH $5-6mil/yr, and I'd pay him that on a bridge deal. I'd also be fine giving him more term if the AAV comes down. If I'm his agent, I'm not taking a penny less than $5mil. He's doing everything you could ask for playing as a stopgap top line winger on a shit team.
he has a nasty shot but he will never drive a line that’s for sure. I like what he brings. I hope they can resign him at 5 million. Time will tell. If he wasn’t so slow to start the season he could have 30 goals. I feel like he really needs a player on his line who has high end passing like pastrnak.
Mark scheifele, point and draisaitl are pretty close though. Just saying :pGeekie is shooting 21%. He’s not going to keep shooting 21% no one does.

9 games left, he's definitely hitting 30 and likely over
he's the 30 goal scorer Jake DeBrusk never was, and I liked Jake
4 games left. He'll still probably hit 30, but you never know.
Exactly. Nobody is expecting him to have a career 20% SP. He's still worth $5-6mil/yr though, and I think he's still got upside. He can also play C for you, in a pinch.Great shooting year from him but it's hard to imagine him replicating his 20.7 SP next season. That's part of why I want to see him as the shooter on the 2nd line, maybe his shooting percentage goes down to 13-15 percent but his shot volume goes up being the go-to shooter.
WRT his shooting percentage, how many backdoor tap in goals has he gotten from Pastrnak? Quite a few that I can remember.
I think the reason it's so high is that everyone is more likely to turn their attention to Pasta, is that likely to change anytime soon? Sustainable, probably not, but I think he'll be on the higher end if he keeps playing with Pasta
I would hope you could get a 2nd round pick for a 26 year old 30 goal scorer . I think you could get significantly moreFor me, it would need to be above the second round pick threshold, because I know I can get a second for him. Over $4.58M (this years number don’t know next year) it’s a first and I wish Morgan well in his travels.
I don’t know that it would be significantly more than a mid first in a good draft though, which is why I wouldn’t match at that level.I would hope you could get a 2nd round pick for a 26 year old 30 goal scorer . I think you could get significantly more
