Morgan Frost and Joel Farabee traded to Calgary for Andrei Kuzmenko, Jakob Pelletier, 2025 2nd, 2028 7th

Morgan Frost slightly underperforming after 2 years of 40pt seasons and Joel Farabee having a bad year a year after putting up 50pts "see everybody they sucked and it was right to get rid of them!" You're also ignoring that Calgary is dead last in the league in scoring.

Meanwhile the Flyers have a replaceable 4th line player in Pelletier, and magic beans. Soooooooo I don't know seems like a bias to me against Frost and Farabee

Farabee has broken 40 points once, yes it was with 50 last season but his decline started well before the season ended. He's got 32 points in his last *101* games. He's paid $5m for the next three and a bit seasons. I think we simply saw where he was going and got out from under it, and nothing he's done in Calgary has made us look like we made the wrong call.

I'm not jumping out to defend Briere as i totally don't see or understand the direction he's choosing, but I don't think we'll look back at those deals and regret them.

Cause nothing says career defining for a 25 year old like his last 100 games. What about the previous 100 before that? If you take the 22-23 and 23-24 seasons and do ppg ave he was .54/per game in 164 games. If you take last season and this season comes up to .48/ppg in 149 games. And yea this season he's not been good. It's not awful either.

Again he's only 25. The next few seasons are supposed to be his prime years. If he continues to suck then yea good for the Flyers for dumping him. It's still way too early to tell. As of today though the Flyers definitely lost the trade

.54ppg isn't really that good though is it, especially if you're cherry picking his best period. The problem is that the closer you bring the magnifying glass, the worse he gets. Four years? OK. Three years? Decent. Two years? Passable. One year? Terrible. Six months? Appalling. Three months? Fourth liner.

He's at an age he can turn it around for sure, but clubs have to make a call on where they think they're going and neither were exactly trending upwards. Best to take a risk and move on sometimes whilst they still have value.

Yea you can give anything a small enough sample to fit your argument. Gretzky only scored 9 goals his last year in hockey he must of been a shit goal scorer. See?

And yea believe it or not .54/ppg is good. No one in his draft taken after him is outscoring him so the Flyers did well in the pick. We've had this argument already. Farabee is a good hockey player having a down year. You seem to think it's the end of his career for some reason.

Evaluating players solely based on points scored in a 17 game sample, after a mid-season trade to the worst goal scoring team in the league is not a good faith argument. It's not worth engaging.

It's a 100 game sample, but you do you pal. It's possible to dislike management AND not think the players are worth a damn.

Your original comment:

A combined 9 points in 32 games for Frost and Farabee in Calgary so far.

This was removed for "trolling" which is ridiculous. Clear to see that both players haven't improved since we traded them...

This isn't a good argument for a host of reasons. And to be clear, I'm not even saying they are playing well; I'm saying your argument is so bad that it's not worth discussing it with you.

The little I’ve seen of Frost recently, he’s the same skilled, smart player as always. Still good defensively, and always setting up plays with some frequency. I don’t know his shooting percentage, PDO, xAnything, but have the impression to this day he’s a quality 2 or 3 center in a GOOD team and with appropriate usage.

Didn't Farabee always have decent ES stat rates and like with the rest of the team the terrible PP sewered the raw point totals?
