Yeah, I mean I assume your SB stuff is already covered. Haha

Curious where you are on the +/- resale.

Also, im ok with getting this answer tomorrow if this is sufficient traffic for today.
We're gonna need to bump numbers up because a certain someone has a strike throughed name for the next bit.

I'm up a decent amount. Only games I have left are ones i'm going to go to with my kids/friends so onto the next season where they're going up 12.5%. We'll see what happens.

Oh, well that's good then. I can contribute more to facilitate.

Nice. Always happy to see a homie reap the rewards of the open market!

What if I think the two best RFAs are Defensemen? Because I think I do. Are we just ignoring those because of positional need?
Ha I was just about to say this. I would love to have Hughes but I doubt he would leave his brother. Bouchard does have the London connection though!

Unless you meant Dobson as the other one.

Do I want to know what an offer sheet for McTavish or Vilardi would look like? Would Wyatt Johnston be on their list?

Are McTavish and Vilardi worth the overpayment and picks it would take to get them? I dont think there is any chance Dallas lets Johnston walk. With a rising cap, I'm not sure how this is a good plan to acquire high end talent unless I'm missing something.

My completely uneducated guess: they're either backing up the brinks truck for Rantanen, whom I'm pretty sure played center at one point a couple years ago, or packaging firsts and seconds for Cozens

Oh, and they'll trade the CGY 2nd to Carolina for Rantanen's rights so they can say they turned Frost and Farabee into (the chance to sign) Rantanen.

we wont be getting hi end talent.. they will be looking at overpriced aged out grinders...

you best #buckle in...

The Edmonton media & the Neanderthal contingent of their fanbase wants Bouchard the f*** out of there at this point.
Yeah. I do believe he is probably benefiting from the McDavid/Draisaitl effect that no other team can really replicate, but he’s still good. The thought of Edmonton losing another RFA to an offer sheet though is quite intriguing.

The Flyers picked a hell of a time to go the offer sheet route when the cap is going up. I’m sure most teams will just bite the bullet and match. Day late and a dollar short.

There’s probably too much risk involved with McTavish. He’s definitely in a dumpster fire situation in Anaheim where basically all of their young players are struggling. But at the same time I’m not sure there’s really much indicating underlying that he’s gonna turn into some first line/star caliber player.

Vilardi is more proven & a good player but I think he’s basically a secondary player at this point. It’s improvement for the Flyers but given he’s already 25 & making over $6M on his current contract. I don’t think that really fits the Flyers what the Flyers should be after.

If the Flyers had a team ready to contend now for a Cup & needed to bolster their secondary part of the lineup I think Vilardi would make more sense in that context.

Jojo, I don't think anybody has ever thought of this concept before. Because why would you?

No, no, this is proper Galaxy (by which I mean the smooth, melty chocolate bar) brain. Put out outrageous offer sheets, but make them just expensive enough that the other team feels compelled to match. Then, once they've tied all their money up, you have your pick of all the free agents left to sign after the mandatory 1 week waiting period!

Both of them.
