Yeah, but he’s not consistent.
Is there such thing as a consistent 50 point forward? The thing that bothered me about Farabee is that he put up points a high rate in the first half of 23/24 and then fell off a cliff. That slump continued into this season.

Apparently he was going on waivers, so they could have picked him up for nothing.
They think the main value back is getting rid of guys who Torts doesn’t like. Frost and Farabee had negative value to them.

Unconfirmed reports have suggested that everyone in management calls him “Daddy John”.

Obviously I don’t read this because there’s a better chance of me moving to Brazil than paying even a single cent for anything O’Connor has written, but I sure did laugh at “entering phase 2 of the rebuild?” because he knows damn well they never even started phase 1.

@Appleyard guilted me into signing up in order to support him. Let me check it out.

I actually don’t mind seeing Kuz play. The issue is the play part, for we know Torts isn’t going to like him. I mean even homer beat writers are saying it. Crazy enough, I don’t think Briere sees it. He’s gonna be floored when it happens

Because if he's good then he has value to sell? He's still playing below his contract and on any other team is a 3rd liner. This is an opportunity to sell high. He's 30. He's irrelevant to Michkov's prime.

We have Sanheim and Seeler. That's enough.
IF you can get good value for Risto I can see trading him, sure, BUT I'm not moving him just to move him. The cap is going up and up and so I'd rather live with that contract and have the defensive depth. Last thing we want to do is go back to desperately needing D men like we were when Fletcher traded for him. Defensive depth matters.
So moving him is not a priority imo. He is most definitely not "irrelevant".

You can’t tell me with a straight face that Foerster, Tippett, Cates, and Brink’s development stands in stark contrast to Frost and Farabee’s. As if they’ve taken a clear undeniable jump. I might listen about Brink beyond the counting stats, but he’s also someone who could easily be next up in Tortorella’s doghouse. But really all of their growth has flatlined or regressed. The production is unremarkable. Even Cates being pumped back to 35 points is not some transformative moment.

Good point, Toe.
