Confirmed with Link: Morgan Frost and Joel Farabee traded to Calgary for Andrei Kuzmenko, Jakob Pelletier, 2025 2nd, 2028 7th

I haven’t fact checked this:

Conroy: "Think we might be able to work Farabee into this deal?"
Briere: "Absolutely."
Conroy: "What would we have to add to make this work?"
Briere: "How about a waiver wire forward with grit, a 2nd rounder this year, and a 7th at the end of the decade."
Conroy: "Good one, Danny. Really, what are you looking for in return for Farabee?"
Briere: "...Craig, I'm serious."
Conroy: "Really? That's it?"
Briere: "Craig, John says if I don't get this deal made by midnight, I won't live to see my grandchildren."

Ah yes, allude to more to come in a way that just creates speculation...continue to speak in riddles...delay the press conference with Briere so that we all speculate that "there would be a good reason" for him to come to philly. OH YEAH, Petterson reuniting with Kuzmenko in philly

That Cates extension is going to hit like a brick.

I remember the last couple years pretending it wasn’t a zero sum game with Frost and Cates….that Frost would lose. And this was when Gauthier was supposed to replace Frost too.

The Flyers are one of the most open book teams in professional sports. The truth is always staring you in the face. There is not a chance in hell that Cates isn’t signed to a $25MM deal soon.

Vancouver fan here--Watched every game Kuz played here and a bunch of his Calgary ones. His 39 goal season came when Petterson was often other worldly and Kuzmenko seemed to have a knack for getting into the right place to capitalize. Everyone--teammates included--loved him, at least at first. When Tocchet took over, it soured, but not before they gave him the new contract which included the no trade. It was apparent that coach had made his mind up on this player and it was no surprise when he was sent to Calgary. He's like a puppy--he's happy all the time but doesn't seem to understand why people yell at him. Slowing down and there's never been an ounce of bite to his game.

Pelletier I recall was the young guy a lot of Flames fan were high on, and in his NHL first game his family comes out from Quebec to see him play, and he scores. After the game Sutter craps on him to the media and made Pelletier's mom cry. It was one of the last straws for a lot of folks with Sutter and a bunch of stuff about how toxic he was to everyone in the organization came out as a result and he was soon gone.

Boy, do we have the coach for these guys then!

Match made in heaven.

Sutter is probably my least favorite coach in NHL history. What a miserable f***ing prick.

Hey at least he got to play, most of the Flyers kids get scratched if their parents come to see them play.
