I think we are only scratching the surface with him, he has a lot more in him, might become an unbelievable steal.Starting to look like a young Wheeler to me.
I said it last season, watch this kid.

Him winning fastest skater at the skills comp was a bit of a eye opener for me. Maybe he does have the ability to get close to the level Copp was in the similar role.I compared his scoring with Copp at every level. Barron has higher points per game in college and in the AHL at the same years of their development.
I think it's why chevy targeted him
I think that any time you can have a 6'4 Swiss army knife who can skate, has OK hands, and can play centre in a pinch, you're doing OKHim winning fastest skater at the skills comp was a bit of a eye opener for me. Copp didn't seem like much, but as he grew more and more mature he got more and more effective. Hoping for the same thing from Barron.
If he can ever get close to 50pts. we stole himThe guy is thick, really hard to move along the boards, a huge improvement over Ves for the same kind of player. Upside to 50 pts
This might actually be a very good comparison. Hadn’t thought about that but I can see it.Starting to look like a young Wheeler to me.

Agreed, we got the better of the Barron Bros. really like what I'm seeing from his game the last whileBack to my point .
Barron is getting DANGEROUS. I think he's right on the edge of a breakout and becoming a seriously valuable asset.
DO NOT TRADE HIM.
The kid never makes a mistake. It's crazy. he almost never turns the puck over, finds outlets, or bangs it off the boards and out, he gets his dump-ins deep and onside, wins battles all over the ice and on the boards is a beast on the forecheck and the backcheck and is utterly reliable IMHO.I think the difference is that he’s starting to finally take a few chances offensively. I’m sure in previous years he was told to be very responsible and keep the puck away from the other team. Just don’t get scored on. Maybe similar to Morrissey when he was finally told that he could unleash the other part of his game. Let me just say that I’m not comparing the levels of Morgan Barron and Josh Morrissey.
However, if Barron has finally proven his chops defensively, maybe he’s been given the green light to take a few more chances in his game to add offence.
There’s been a notable difference lately.
I would like to see him on his off wing with KC and Schief. As I believe he has a bigger body than Iafallo, while being good defensively and in the corners.Good posts above.
I'm a Barron fan. Never takes a shift off and brings a blend of speed, size and intensity to the line that's a big part of what makes them tough to play against. Has a nice wrister also, tho agree that he's often making a play only to have to pick up the puck again as it's cycled back into a corner or shotput a mile past the net.
Many here have wondered if he had to bring offensively -- maybe he can get a longer look with and Ehlers/ Names / AN Other line. Seems like he'd have the speed and hands to be a reliable digger and sometime shooter on such a line.
Which makes perfetti a bottom 6 player.Unfortunately Barron seems to suffer from the same issue as all of our promising bottom 6 players, they can't bear down on their chances. He had a fabulous game against the Avs and I hope that continues.
