@Barsky and I had quite the discussion about this yesterday, and we agreed to put it to the poll.

The question is as follows: Who is the more valuable piece/player?

I think Robertson, Barsky thinks Stutzle.

My view for why it's Robertson: RFA at the end of next year - 25 years old. 2 years older than Stutzle, however over the past three seasons:
More goals
More assists
Better Primary assist/secondary assist ratio
Better PP60
Worse deployment (fewer o-zone starts, less power play time, less es time)
More durable
Much better defensively

To me, that's worth the 10-11ish M he will get (compared to Stutzle who is at 8.35 for the next 5 years). Just under Selke level defense, top end finisher, and incredibly efficient in his minutes outweighs position and the transition play of Stutzle.

I'll let Barsky provide his opinion as well.

Shane Pinto wants the over/under on posts before this thread gets closed for a landslide result.

Stutzle. Not close. Please don't make more polls where I have to advocate for Sens players.

Better defensively lol you need to watch some hockey.

The only thing I will admit to this is that I, along with 2 others, are smarter than 21 people who do not know what they are talking about.

DO YOU HEAR ME @Barsky!
Yikes.
Not sure if this is just Sens fans needing an ego boost, but it's obviously Stutzle. Younger, more team control, less injured, more center-ish
Play driver, more upside. The list is very very long. Actually watching the games would help too.

Robertson is better today and likely for the next year or 2 as a player

Stutzle has the better contract and more upside left so he's the better asset. But stutzle does need to show he is more than a ppg or so play. 2 back to back years with no big offensive steps after his 2023 season

Wyatt Johson vs Stuztle is a better comparison as both are young, Centers L/T, signed for similar amount of term and have a fair bit of upside.

I'm surprised it's this lopsided.
Is it? Nothing against Robertson, he obviously can produce, that 109 point season is a great accomplishment in any world, but it definitely looks like a bit of an outlier for an otherwise PPG player. He's not even a Team USA Olympic guy in all likelihood.

What's interesting for me is, there aren't really any statistics that would say "here is why Stutzle is the better player". I understand he plays Center, so he will be more important in transition and zone entries. With that said, almost every offensive and defensive metric points towards Robertson being the better player year over year.

Stutzle is younger, plays a more desirable position, and is faster/better in transition. But, statistically, Robertson is superior in everything else. So it's surprising when people say "clearly Stutzle".

Both very good. Robertson imo is at his ceiling. Stutzle still has some runway of development left. Thus more value right now.
