There is when you completely ignore the fact that the NHLer took 35 more games to reach that number.
So? Gusev played roughly the same number of games in the KHL last year as he did in the NHL a few years ago, and scored more than twice as many points. That's the difference between the leagues in quality. Even if Michkov played 35 more games in the KHL with his 0.85 ppg there, it still wouldn't come close to changing the outcome.

It’s quite clear that nothing would change the outcome in your mind. Nobody is debating the quality of the leagues, but you’re obviously unfamiliar with the KHL and its scoring rates so you’re unable to comprehend how special Michkov’s pre-NHL resume is.

Michkov was 40th in points last year, or 14th in ppg among those with at least 35 games played. It's fine, but not really that special in a context bigger than the KHL itself.

And while there haven't been significantly better 19-year-old seasons in the KHL in terms of ppg, similar there have been a few:

Alexei Cherepanov 0.87
Kirill Kaprizov 0.86
Matvei Michkov 0.85
Nikita Filatov 0.85
Yevgeni Kuznetsov 0.84
Nail Yakupov 0.82

It's a good reminder that most of these prospects are not sure-fire things. When people talk about guys like Michkov/Demidov as "can't miss" franchise players...well, there's a reason they weren't unanimous 1st overall picks. There are a lot of question marks imo.
