More MVP Worthy Player: Mackinnon, Kuch or Drai?

It's about a dead heat. Drai has the best numbers but having McDavid on your team all but eliminates him to me, since he's really not even the mvp of his own team.

I think Kucherov deserves it more due to him being robbed by Mack for one already.
What about having Makar on the team? He's tracking to be one of the best Dmen since Orr.

It’s Draisaitl and if it’s not him, it’s Hellebuyck. Kuch and Mack fans need to just appreciate how good they are and accept the fact that there is no shame in being a top 5, but not quite best, player in the league. And they are Cup winners which secured their legacy regardless of anything else.

Drai for me. 9 more goals than second place in 4 less games. Did it without mcDavid for a portion of the season, gonna get some Selke votes. Third in total scoring.

I think the giant gap in goal scoring is hard to overcome

Draisaitl absolutely should win the Hart and he might get a few biased Selke votes but he is in no way that class of two-way forward.

He absolutely has been one of the best defensive forwards in the league this year. Problem is he generally doesn’t play on the PK, which will take him out of the discussion I think.

I say Hellebuyck. The guy is literally cemented himself as one of the best goalies ever this season and if we didn't have him at best we're itching a wild card spot.

But Kucherov is insane, like I don't understand how he's that good. It's almost like he gets better and better every single season. Kucherov is better than Patrick Kane and carries his line. The Bolts didn't even need Guentzel, I find Kucherov plays insanely well with Hagel and Point.

As great as Kucherov has been, he's been getting support this year. Last year he put the team on his shoulders in a way that's pretty rare.

Honestly I think if he wins it this year it would be more because he deserved it last year. I could see a case where he's not top 5 this year, despite the points. Last year he was the only reason TB wasn't a lottery team.

But the Jets are one of the highest-scoring teams in the league, it's not like you guys are just getting by on elite goaltending.

This is what I don’t get with the Helle crowd. Winnipeg has been great this year with a ton of players having career years. It’s not like Helle is dragging them to the playoffs (obviously still a big part of it)

Prove it. The eye test and advanced stats say otherwise.

His advanced defensive stats were really strong at the start of the year but they’re not really near the best now. Among the 238 forwards with at least 800 5v5 minutes, he’s 69th in xGA/60, 81st in GA/60, and his relative numbers are only slightly better than his team.

Yes Jets are fighting for presidents trophy in large part due to Helly, it’s not a crazy statement to say that they would be a wildcard team or 3rd without him. Mostly due to the fact the central has three top 5 teams in the nhl.

I mean we are still trying to fight for first in our division since the Stars just refuse to lose despite getting doubled in shots the past 3 games.
