well putting aside the greatest goal scorer of all time, the rest were not competing against competition this strong and/or had a unique narrative. If Kucherov were 24 points ahead of the closest centre like Kane I'm sure he'd have a better chance, or if he was going to win the Rocket like Ovi or Perry. Also voters across all sports are getting smarter, baseball awards voting is nothing like it was 15 years ago and in hockey all-around play gets more consideration today.

kucherov was far more involved in the hart conversation last year with a better case and didn't win. You can get your hopes up if you want, but voters aren't just going to just look at the final points tally and vote for the guy they haven't been thinking about all year because he padded his stats in 8-0 wins. The odds market reflects that.

I dont have any “hopes. If Tampa wins the division with a late push and Kucherov drives the bus, you can bet your ass people will be talking. And nothing about that scenario is unrealistic or especially unlikely.

You just made a very arrogant, flippant, and imo “hopeful” comment… so I pointed it out as such.

True Vasy has had quite the year himself but it’s not really talked about as much in Canada with all the Canadian bias bullshit tsn and Sportsnet media is jamming down our collective throats. Lol
 
Kucherov needs to win the art ross by a lot of points to have a chance. Its just the nature of wingers vs. centers. 4 more points than Mack last year and lost the hart by almost 100 first place votes.

Now tell me where anyone said 'if you think Mackinnon has a chance at winning you are a moron". Cuz if they said something that arrogant and idiotic, I would be happy to call it out too. But I sure didnt say anything like that.
 
Ask yourself.... Would their teams still win games if Mackinnon, Kuch or Drai were hurt for the season? Would they be a playoff team?

Then ask yourself... where would the Jets be if Helly had been out all year? Sure Comrie has 8 wins this season in 18 games, but if the Jets had to play Comrie all season, they would have been out of the playoffs by Christmas.

So who's the MVP to his team?

it's actually quite unlikely a candidate anywhere from 20/1-30/1 on the betting market closes that gap with a few weeks to go. While these markets aren't infallible it is unlikely to be off by such a massive degree. Hence why I said he has no "realistic" chance. But miracles do happen I suppose.

What do you mean "good chance"? They have 3 more points than TML and play in a tougher division

And what does the 2nd part have to do with what I said?? lol
