Moose Season Discussion

And then it is over as the Moose wrap up the season with a 1-0 win in Texas over the Stars:

Will still have end of season chats with the players on Monday. And of course our Moose end of season roundtable in the next few weeks.

Do you get to interview Zinger?

Would be interesting to get a view to his assessment of this team. Talent doesn't seem to be too different year to year to me. Results definitely differ.

It'll be interesting to see if Zhilkin can take another step and get some call-ups next year. Seems like a good responsible centre in the Gus mode.

Agree. And has some decent skill and hands. He was so good towards the end of his junior career that I'd been a bit puzzled by his slower start with the Moose, but good to see him ending the season strongly.

Would be interesting to see some underlying metrics -- suspect they'd be solid.

I think the significant injury he had earlier this year really disrupted his development.

Is anybody going to be called up now that the Moose are done?

I know Lambert and Ford are still injured, Chibrikov too.

With Kupari back in the fold the Jets have 2 forward reserves and 3 on defense, with Vilardi probably the closest to return.

Maybe they want to keep the team tight, in smaller numbers? Still thought there might be some black aces.

Shaw and Salomonsson were called up.

Thought I had posted this but:

Also this is what Scott Arniel had to say later that day about the taxi squad:

We concluded our end of season media chats on Wednesday and there are lots to get to which I'll release over the next week or so. Here was head coach Mark Morrison.

Topics:
1) Overall thoughts on the season.
2) Development of Jets goalie prospects Milic & DiVincentiis [;46)
3) New leadership group this season (1:36)
4) Jets prospect Fabian Wagner's (2022 6th) development (2:08)
5) Growth of Jets prospect Elias Salomonsson (2022 2nd) (3:20)
6) Jaret Anderson-Dolan's first season in Manitoba (4:45)
7) What can Jets prospect Brad Lambert (2022 1st) learn from this season? (5:36)
8) How gratifying was it to see Parker Ford's success, including first NHL goal (6:35)
9) Update on Jets prospect Nikita Chibrikov (2021 2nd)? (7:22)
10) Status of Brad Lambert's ankle? (7:54)
11) Final Thoughts on the season? (8:09)

Do the Moose go with Milic and DDV in 2025-26, or do the Jets sign a veteran third goalie (like Dreidger) to play on the Moose?

Who should the Moose "part ways with" from management and the coaching staff in the link below?

Will never happen but Zinger has consistently put together terrible moose teams for as long as I can remember, would love to have some fresh blood in there.

I get the mandate is to play the rookies, but half the team seems like it's a bunch of minor league plugs - I think getting our young guys battle tested in AHL playoffs is pretty valuable
