Sure, but they still play a grinding energy game which may not mesh as well. Sometimes a career AHL skill guy fits better stylistically.
That whole lineup seems small. Last year Malott did some heavy lifting offensively. You had Viel as a power grinding forward. The guys like Ford and Shaw have a nose for the net, they play bigger than their stature, but I wonder if there is some trouble maintaining possession with some of those smaller guys? That's where JAD and Lucius (if he plays regularly) could be factors. Might explain Kevin Conley moving up to Lambert's line?

There could be something to that as well. You usually need different types unless you have players who are so skilled it doesn't matter. I don't think that's Chibrikov who projects as a middle 6 player. Lambert I hope starts to impose his will on teams and starts to take over games. I think he has the talent to do so, but might not be physically ready yet.

Yeah I get what you're saying. A guy like Alex Limoges who was great here in that role for a couple years. You're right we don't have anyone like that right now.
