He's solid defensively and doesn't hurt us really (except when he misses the net and the opposition gets a rush against us). He'd be better served as 3rd liner.

Gionta is clearly a 3rd liner at this point and I want his contract off the team, but he's fine as long as you consider the Plekanec line the third line, because there's no way anyone can expect offense out of that line.
