Proposal: Montreal / LAK

  • Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. why does montreal want soon-to-be 30 year old moore in a rebuild?

Hughes has already said publicly numerous times that he's targeting a newhook/Dach type move, so no forwards over like 25.
D is a diffrent story. They may trade/lose savard so they might search for another Dman in the Carrier range (28).

They have 0 interest in the LA pieces proposed. none. imo.
It's at best a lateral, where habs get older and the contract benefits minimal

Habs will get an asset for Armia this TDL and an asset for Anderson at the 2026 TDL. These are guys non playoff teams (Habs) sell as UFAs at trade deadlines that have 2nd/3rd pick value with retention. Playoff clubs will place value on these players’ skills as bottom six checking, limited minutes guys.

They wouldn't, cash has to go out, plus I wouldn't make a trade for Anderson myself, it would be just the kind of thing the Kings would do. They need a right scoriing forward and neither brings that.

lol, okay I think everyone would agree last year was an outlier? He’s back on pace for 15/16 goals!
Like I said Mtl is a very young rebuilding club & Moore will be 30 next month….the Habs aren’t looking to trade for 30 & 38 year olds.

I dont know about the Trevors, but the 2 habs play good hockey in their respective roles... unfortunately those roles are not in line with the expectations management had when they gave them those contracts. So this deal wouldn't be around trading problem players.

Mtl also doesn't really have cap issues for the next two years, meaning they could ride both players' contracts out, so this deal wouldnt be about cap.

Those players are 30 plus, so getting younger is also not happening here.

It's just not making sense for mtl.

The Kings need a right shot and he's pretty much the only one with a Nmc , so I could see a swap of players, but no one on Montreal who might be available fits the bill. Dont see a fit, unless its smaller deal like Akil Thomas + 5th for an ufa Evans, but fans alway over value their players

How about a Habs 7th for Akil Thomas + 5th?

Akil Thomas is worthless.

Didnt say they would, but he isnt garbage and he actually he played very well in the Ahl, so that's incorrect.
To be honest like I said before the ones who are available I am wouldn't be interested in for la other than Evan's for a 4c and that's all I would offer for a 4c and I'll leave it at that.
